Maybe Arie together with someone like Hans Meyer until the end of the season, and taking over as head coach next summer?

Hmmm ... that doesn't sound bad. At least we'd have another Dutchman then...;)

There's many rumors at the moment, so let's wait up what happens. If Hans Meyer should really decide to do the job, he'll have to clear his situation in Nürnberg (still waiting for some money from Roth) first.

According to "RP", our boss has already contacted him:

Quote:

"Hans Meyer, der knorrige Thüringer, ist nicht nur bei den Fans ein Thema. Borussias Präsident Rolf Königs hat sich beim 1. FC Nürnberg erkundigt, wie der Stand der Dinge im Vertragsstreit des Trainers mit dem Ex-Verein ist. 1,7 Millionen Euro will Meyer vom "Club" haben. Möglich, dass Gladbach bei der Einigung hilft, um den 65-Jährigen zurückzuholen."

I know Effe does not get along with most people and press love to get on his case 24/7,but thats no indication for anything...he might actually be also a good candidate to coah us.I know he had lots of drama off the field..but boy-o-boy one of those ..would be enough for an entire mid-field,wish we had one right now at these critical times at borussia!

Is lothar in austria, has any:rolleyes:one even considered him for the job??

We have been notorious for bizzaro things, for example win the road game..then lose at home the week after which defeats the whole porpose, but we better start collecting points b/c B4 you know...we are battling for another nose-dive!

Effenberg was a great player and I respect him for that ... but he's still the same troublemaker outside the pitch. What should qualify him for the club manager or team manager job at Borussia? His interviews on "Premiere"?
Obviously, he still can't get over the fact that Ziege and not he got the job after Pander's dismissal. He predicted Ziege & Luhukay to fail last season ... but then got pretty quiet for some good reason. Now he's starting his campaign again (with the support of his friends from "Bild"), calling Christian Ziege a "greenhorn". Well, we all know that Effe is sooo experienced...

Stefan Effenberg should finally grow up before looking for a job at Borussia-Park! Nothing against his motivation qualities ... but I don't think we need troublemakers (Effe is still polarizing) at the club.

Loddar is in Israel in the meanwhile. Didn't you know that?

It seems he's finally grown up ... but I don't think he'll be the right man for us in this difficult situation (having never trained any Bundesliga club).

It seems that Christian Ziege will really coach the team in Bochum on Friday.

Effenberg and Matthäus...
I sure hope for you guys that none of these two will EVER have anything to say in this club!
:D

Btw, Uwe will you happen to be at the Gladbach-Eintracht fight for the red lantern in a few weeks?! ;) Im planning to be at Borussia Park! This might allready be an important game for both clubs...

Great to hear "Hans Meyer" is back with us,his as solid as they come :)

Now the anticipation starts for the bochum game, and perhaps see some of his genius pay-off for gladbach on the pitch!

Always rated Hans Meyer, and he is a pretty funny guy at times, too. Very good choice, good to know that Gladbach are in good hands (if true), I want you guys to remain in the 1. Bundesliga where you belong.

Really interesting that this rumour comes from Hans Meyer's "fav" paper 'BILD' (it agitated against him in the past - both in Gladbach and Nürnberg)...

Unfortunately I didn't yet. Maybe you can find one. :-)

But found a link with the whole press conference for you ... so you can improve your German. ;)

Despite our usual "home game" in Bochum (always 10,000 BMG fans), it's going to be a tough away match against an opponent that got a lot of confidence in Munich (3:3) and is one of our bogey teams (we couldn't win there since 1995 and didn't get 3 points in any of the last 11 games against them). But we simply can't afford another away defeat (we lost the last 9 away matches in the 1 BL, what is a shame) tomorrow ... so let's hope that Christian Ziege will bring us some luck! :)

Marko Marin is likely to be out due to injury, so Sharbel Touma might get his chance. I also expect Michael Bradley to start. Steve Gohouri will hopefully return to his CB position, whereas Uwe Gospodarek could replace Christopher Heimeroth as goalie for the 1st time.

We'll see...

Sorry that I overlooked your question. :o

Unfortunately I can't be at the game (don't have much time & opportunities for trips to BP lately), but there might be a chance for travelling to Frankfurt in the Rückrunde...

I came to ask what you guys thought of those rumors.

I really can't claim to know anything, but I think it would be a good move for you guys.

Well, we all know how well-informed the yellow press can be sometimes ... so I wouldn't doubt that rumour at least (especially, since Hans was in Fürth on Monday in order to study Wolfsburg - our overnext away opponent).

Maybe "Bild" just wants him back on the pitch in order to write some new stories/lies...

I think it would be a good move for you guys.

And for FCN as well (you would save some good money)...

Schönen Abend.

Its not about one game on the road,we need some points..and we need them fast and consistent ! Am really not sure if this squad has the depth and JL couldnt get it going or ?? Its been years since we have managed to maintain a streak (except for the 2.liga last year)! Anyway lets hope JL was the problem ( even tho i liked him) b/c now he is no longer at helm..would be great to see some offensive football,at least you go down with dignity
