Update: Ronaldo, who has been long-rumored to be dealt to Real Madrid, will be out for six weeks following surgery on his ankle, the National Post reports.
Analysis: Ronaldo is expected to have the surgery early next week to heal an ankle that had been bothering him for the final two months of last season. This might keep Ronaldo from starting the season, but it will not keep the transfer rumors from swirling about a possible move to Real Madrid. The latest rumor being that United has put a ridiculous asking price of £80 million on Ronaldo. Still, it seems Real Madrid interest has not dwindled.
