I don't know much about the EPL game, thus I need some help on tracking down what team play where. Any help would be much appreciated. I could guess, but it would be much better to know for sure.

So if you can figure that Newcastle is in Newcastle what is your problem with Southampton, Leeds and Blackburn? ;)
Wolverhampton is a part of Birmingham (although you should never say that in the presence of a Wolves fan), Everton is a suburb of Liverpool, Charlton and Fulham are both boroughs in London, Aston is the eastern part of Birmingham, Leicester, Bolton, Middlesbrough are all towns in the Midlands and north of England.

NORTH EAST
Newcastle United (Newcastle)
Middlesbrough (Middlesbrough)
NORTH WEST
Manchester United (Manchester)
Manchester City (Manchester)
Liverpool (Liverpool)
Everton (Liverpool)
Blackburn Rovers (Blackburn)
Bolton Wanderers (Bolton)
NORTH
Leeds United (Leeds)
MIDLANDS
Birmingham City (Birmingham)
Aston Villa (Birmingham)
Leicester City (Leicester)
Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolverhampton)
SOUTH EAST
Arsenal (London)
Chelsea (London)
Charlton (London)
Fulham (London)
Tottenham (London)
SOUTH
Portsmouth (Portsmouth)
Southampton (Southampton)
If you look on the map above, Middlesbrough is south of Durham and Newcastle. Wolves is basically part of Birmingham, while Leicester is East of Birmingham.
Bolton is slightly northwest of Manchester, while Blackburn is north of Bolton. The rest you can work out coz it's got the cities listed.

Completely untrue, but I like it.

To say Wolverhampton is part of Birmingham is a nonsense statement. They`re both Cities 16 miles apart. Birmingham has a population of 1m and Wolverhampton 250,000.
By the way, Man Utd is in Salford. And the true name of Birmingham City is Small Heath. When Villa and Small Heath were founded they agreed not to take the name of the City, Small Heath welched on the agreement. As a concequence they won one trophy in the 20th century (two if you count the leyland Daf trophy).

Ask someone from Salford where they're from and they will say Manchester.

Wolverhampton and Birmingham are like siamese twins.

True. But the original post said Man Utd : Manchester City. I think that did need correcting, although I was being a bit finicky
.

I can`t agree with that. West Brom, Dudley and Walsall wall off Wolvo from Birmingham. Maybe Siamese quintuplets, which would be a bit of a mess. Come to think of it, a good metaphor for the West Midlands conobation.

No, it's a wind-up statement. Thanks for playing. ;)

Happy to, but the wind-up is better when directed to WBA. Since their stadium is in Birmingham (just), but 99% of their fans are in West Bromwich. Last season people talked of three Birmingham teams in the Premier league, which I know wound Albion fans up. It doesn`t work with the Wolves, though, as with most good wind-ups it just doesn`t have that little bit of truth in it.
Albion + England

The Albion ground is 1/3 in Handsworth which is part of Brum, 1/3 in Smethwick and 1/3 in West Bromwich. Most people think Bromwich is in Birmingham cos it's so close - about 4 miles from city centre and share the same dialling code but it's not. Easy to see why though.

Well I used to work with one lad from Manchester, I asked him where he was from and he said "Manchester" and then I said "where in Manchester?" and he said "Salford". I just remember that.
But anyway, Salford and Manchester, there's no difference. Steven Gerrard....everyone thinks he's from Liverpool.....He was born in Whiston Hospital and grew up in Huyton....he's not from Liverpool. (It's a similiar thing with Salford and Manchester)

LOL! Too true ...
Radio City are always so anal about calling him the 'Huyton-born youngster'.

Do I Detect Some SOURED Grapes from someone who Thinks Aston Villa Are a BIG Club?
Where in ANY of the Record Books does it say neither club would take the name of the City?
I Think you have listened to the Fairies on this idea RobB

BTW, Small Heath Alliance 1-2 Charlton. Thank god for that. I was getting worried by your lot winning to many. A few more draws a defeats and you`ll be back down amongst the dead men. There are some sour grapes for you.
