has anyone on here gotten a cortisone shot?
im not responding well to physical therapy, and my next option before surgery is that...ive been hearing mixed thoughts about it though...

I got a cortisone shot for my knee a couple years ago. I had ITB syndrome in my knee which is basically just a repetitive overuse injury - nothing was structurally wrong.
If you just need it to get you past some of the pain - most doctors are for it as long as it is not hidning the pain of something major wrong structually.
Also, make sure you only have one shot and don't keep going back for more.
It really helped me and since then I've worked on strengthening and stretching my muscles around the knee - no problems.
