havnt heard anything about perisic... what position is he?
Eintracht lost 1-2 at home against Schalke. Not realy a surprise this season. But after equalizing in the 81st Minute, I think it should be possible to take at least that one point... :(
Nonetheless Caio seems to finally be on an up, having scored the goal in Karlsruhe and apparently playing fairly well against Schalke. At last it sounds like that in kicker.de. I havent seen it as I am currently in Malaysia... :P
As for the Pyro Show in Karlsruhe: I wouldnt have any problem with the smoke and the flares. I would have actually really enjoied this one if there werent those ********ing dickheads that feel the need to shoot rockets onto the field and light up "Boeller" inside the crowded section. Bot hof this has nothing to do with supporting yur team or fanculture in any way, and unfortunately got us a huge load of trouble... :( Way to go, destroying years of hard work against fan-surpression within minutes...
Nonetheless this was a great awaygame. Orange Kaos FFM!

On the flares in Karlsruhe:
I'm generally pro-ultra rights and also pro-pyro shows, but I do have an issue with them being thrown on the field and potentially endangering players (who obviously don't deserve it). Against KSC though, i'm willing to make an exception ;) ... just kidding... well, kind of.
In a way it's slightly embarassing that our derby is tomorrow, that the DFL has made it a 'Hohes risiko' game, whatever they mean with that, and that Commando Cannstatt will despite all this have a very hard time matching you guys.
But yeah I really respect Eintracht's fans, probably the best in Germany - loud, passionate and original - regardless of the side's mediocre performances. But i'm hoping there won't be any flares thrown on the pitch tomorrow(keep them in the stands please), it's where i draw the line, when the players security isn't certain.

Thats pretty much my exact point of view. I see no problem in flares or smokebombs, in fact Ive stod right next to it several times. As long as you just hold the thing up, nothing can happen... But once the things got thrown around (which didnt happen in KA tough) or "Boeller" or Rockets are thrown or shot around (which did happen), it gets dangerous for everybody...
Unfortunately this incident will probably have a big impact on our Fanscene. Eintracht has allready reacted by forbidding any kind of flags, banners and megaphones (whatever that is supposed to help) and are talking about personalising tickets to away games. Which would be a point at which I would stop traveling there. (Or start trying to get my tickets another way...)
Unfortunately this incident also puts a bad light on the imo very awesome "Orange Kaos Tour" that a huge amount of the estimated 5000 Eintrachtfans took part in...

Wow, that sounds really harsh!

1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim.
Apparently the 2nd halftime was strong and at least we pulled back and got away with a point after an early 0-1. But it is about time to start winning some more games! Only 3 points to the bottom...
Somehow I doubt that we will do much better next week in Leverkusen... :(
The next two homegames against Cottbus and Gladbach will be super important!

Eintracht seems to be on to Markus Feulner from Mainz for next season.
Nikos Liberopolous might have to undergo surgery, as his broken toe is still bothering him. That would be allready surgery Number 17 this season for our team... :(
And on a sidenote: Happy 60th Birthday to Bernd "Dr.Hammer" Nickel.
The guy that scored direct goals with corner kicks from every corner of the Waldstadion!

From what I've seen in the highlights, you should have won the game after the interval! Unfortunately, you were as unlucky against Hoppenheim as we had been...
Let's hope you will win your next home match against Cottbus ... so you can afford another draw against BMG. ;)

Congrats on the clear victory (you didn't even need a good performance). Unfortunately, we didn't meet ... but well, at least I enjoyed your nice stadium (the last time I had been there, your main stand was under construction). ;)
Here's an impression of your fancurve:

Aah, that was that beautiful spring day that we won 3-0 wasnt it? ;)
Yes too bad, but I actually even had to leave 2 Minutes early as I got picked up at the Hauptbahnhof at 6pm allready...
Maybe next season! :)
As for the game: Again we showed that we are clearly a level above the "bottom teams", now scoring 4 goals against a team below us for the 3rd time this season.
It was no good game, but after we had finally broken through and scored the 1-0, Gladbach had to open up and we had much more space and were able to use it...
I expect us not to get into any immediate danger anymore. And that, imo, is quite an achievement after this horrible start of the season and considering the amount of injuries (16 surgerys alone this season)...
Good to see that Pröll is in form again after our 6th change on the goalkeeper position this season. But I think that missed penalty was also to some degree on us, the fans. Few times I have heard a "Pfeiffkonzert" that loud... B)

Yep, it was a beautiful spring day ... but a slightly different result (our Ultras started a "Sitzblockade" in front of the team bus after the match, since we went down on a relegation spot).

Nice understatement. I expect you to be already secured...

Indeed. The more I was surprised to hear your fancurve shout "Funkel raus" and "Wir wollen euch kämpfen sehen" after 30 minutes in the first half. Damn, your fans are really spoilt compared to ours...

Aah! How could I forget?! It certainly wasnt my intention to ignore good old Aaaaaaariiiiiiie van Lent! :)

Well I dont really. We have a fairly difficult programm ahead of us.
We play away at Stuttgart, Bochum and Hannover and home against Dortmund, Werder and HSV.
Seeing as how we did so far this season, we will get no more then one point out of the 4 games against BVB, HSV, SVW and VFB.
Then again, In the other two games at VFL and 96, we will get at least one point each. Actually we will probably win them as so far we have won all the games in the Rückrunde that we have also won in the Hinrunde... :D
So yeah, its lookign good!

There are a lot of Idiots in Frankfurt to say the least. The atmosphere has gotten incredibly aggresive towards our own team within the last months with the support at the same time decreasing... People are so incredibly clueless, seems liek all they do is looking for someone to diss, whether thats Funkel, Meier or Köhler...
No Idea where that kind of attitude comes from. We dont play brilliant football, but how many other teams actually do?! Looking at our possibilities right now I think we are as high in the table as can be...
I guess its just modern football. What had happened a few years earlier in other stadiums has also happened in Frankfurt now... :(

You wish! And I think some other teams would too. But he allready has a contract for next season, much to the dislike of all those idiots...
I havent been satisfied with everything this season, and yes, there were a few horible games along the way, but still, I couldnt see anyone to do the job better...
People here have been spoilt with the quick and steady development of the club between 2004 and 2007, they seem to have allready forgotten the years before... :(

Well, that's what I thought when your fancurve started to shout against the own team in the first half. Maybe those idiots want to change with us...

lol, luckily both Funkel and Bruchhagen are stubborn and experienced enough not to give a damn about these "fans"... ;)
Funkels contract has allready been increased until 2010...
