Congrats on the away win at BP, I'm sure you enjoyed your stay. :-)
Kudos on the great support (you rocked the stadium ... what's not very hard against an apathic Nordkurve, though).

OMG, still no posting in this thread despite your precious away win in MG?
Here's a few nice impressions of both fan curves and the "action" on the pitch, Doc. Maybe you can even identify yourself...;)

We gained 3 Pflichtsiege now, time to add a "kann-Sieg" against Stuttgart...

Seriously tough, luckyly we have a very deep team, and are not so much dependand on single players. 6 or even 7 potential first-team players are out right now. I dont think many other Bundesliga teams could replace half of their team that well...

Geez took me three tries to find the right thread.
Okay EF is checking out Yank Kenny Cooper (FC Dallas).

Where did your hear that? And what position is he?
On Saturday Eintracht finally cought up to the midfield, handing Hannover a nice 4-0 trashing. Libero and Fenin are getting better and better, they do fit together really well!
The defense is still unsecure and sometimes wide open, but Hannover never managed to make use of that...
Last weeks 0-4 defeat in Dortmund has been forgotten and forgiven...

1,5-2 million $ for a striker?!
He does sound like a good guy, but thats not gonna happen.
We dont need a striker anyways.
Fenin and Liberopolous are getting better every game and Amanatidis will hopefully be back after the winterbreak...
Plus we have 17 year old Juvhel Tsoumou in the backhand who is looking great in the second team and allready had some appearences in the first team this season.
They are discussing this topic in the Eintracht Board (http://eintracht.de/meine_eintracht/forum/5/11152723/) too tough, but they discuss plenty of players there and in the end we almost allways buy other ones...
No way that is gonna happen...
We should get a leftback in the winterbreak, not much need for anything else I would say.

Well they might have been checking him out as a precaution if the new partnership didn't come to life. Or Amanitidis is out longer.

yeah probably. in the beginning both fenin and libero didnt perform well at all...
Looking at the last 5-6 games they have been getting better and better tough, with saturdays 4-0 proving that...
So imo there is no point at all in signing another forward, especially with Ama coming back sooner or later. With all due respect to Kenny Cooper, and admitting I know basically nothing about him, I dont see how he should be any better then those 3, who are imo all quality strikers or at least have the potential to be!

I see your point, but its still good to see EF scouts checking out all possible talents. Nice thread going on in the EF forums by the way.

Hehe, Im actually starting to think if this rumor wasnt started by some journalist who saw that they were discussing this player in the Eintracht-Board...
Wouldnt be the first time. Local newspapers like "Frankfurter Rundschau" and especially "Bild Frankfurt" regularly copy rumors started in the Eintracht board quite obviously...
The fan that started the thread apparently just randomly found him on transfermarkt.de, the first links for rumors only appear after some answers...
Quite supsicious... :D

Eintracht went down 0-5 in Bremen...
Im starting to think it might be a motivation-problem. Against the "smaller" teams we usually play decent games and take the points, but as soon as a "big name" comes along we duck away and han over the points... no fight, no spirit.
All of our 7 losses have been against the "top 8" teams. All of our 4 wins against basement teams...
Hoffenheim L 1-2
Bayern L 1-2
Hertha L 0-2
Leverkusen L 0-2
HSV to come
Dortmund L 0-4
Bremen L 0-5
Schalke L 0-1
Wolfsburg D 2-2
Köln D 1-1
Stuttgart D 2-2
Eintracht
Hannover W 4-0
Bielefeld D 1-1
Cotbus W 3-2
Gladbach W 2-1
Bochum to come
Karlsruhe W 2-1
Im gonna lean way out of that window now and predict a win over Bochum and a loss in Hamburg...
There are however some good news too today:
Eintrachts U23 team has (for 99%) secured the "Herbstmeisterschaft" of the Regionalliga Süd after only 15 games. These boys are playing a superb season!
A 2-1 at Nürnberg II now gives them a 9 point lead over Waldhof, Ulm and Heidenheim, who all still have 3 games to play...
LINK (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/regionalliga/rlsued/tabelle/)
Know Im in a bit of a situation here... On one hand Im against U 23 Teams of Pro Clubs in the 3. Liga, but heck, if they actually manage that, I dont think I would mind! :p
Before the season we thought if they avoid relegation it would be a miracle!
And now they completely tear that league apart...

If the rules allow for their promotion, then take advantage when you can ;)

Yes thats what Im thinking.
Even tough its probably gonna be a desaster of a season in the 3. Liga. The thing is that the E.V. (the actual Club Eintracht Frankfurt, which the Pro-Team does not belong to) is about as poor as can be. And if I remember correct the last time the U23 team played Regionalliga (which was still 3rd division back then) it was a financial disaster and left a big minus in the E.V.'s books...
Well, what do I know, a lot of things have changed in this club.
And it would be a sweet plus over some other clubs in the race for talented young players...
Plus I would certainly enjoy to see the boys play against the likes of Dresden, Braunschweig or Düsseldorf.... or a certain Club from the other riverside that starts with K and ends with ickers... :p
Yeah, I think I would definitely visit a few games there...

Really? I didn't know the Pros were separate from the rest of the club.
I'd love to live in a place where I could go to games every weekend. I really need to get a job in Germany.

Yeah, since 99 the pro team belongs to a seperate AG ("Aktiengesellschaft", no clue what that is in English) which is a sister of Eintracht Frankfurt E.V.
Eintracht E.V. handles all of the other teams, U 23, youth, women, as well as all teams of other sports and a "supporters section" of passive members.
The thing is that the budgets are seperate too, so while the AG has been doing well the last years, the EV is still poor and yet would have to organise and handle the games in the 3. Liga. The 600 or 700 people that might turn up for a game would never make for black numbers in the budget...
I dont know, they would have to find some way to handle it between the EV and AG. Then again the latter would have some profit out of it all aswell, so Im sure that woul be possible. I obviously have no real insights there...
I think the whole AG and EV thing is the same is the case for most other clubs as well.
Thats why the whole 50+1 rule of german football has come up lately, because the E.V. allways has to hold 50+1% of the AG. Once that rule would be dismissed, investors could come and buy and take over the whole AG and do whatever they want with it (as for example in England).
But the E.V. is and will allways be a club that is ruled by its members.
