Repotedly Postiga commits a deliberate, flagrant handball to send a free kick into the goal and knock England out of the championship. This guy plays for Tottenham! Wondering if anyone saw this game, what they thought, and what people think his reception will be when he returns to Spurs.

Postiga's done so much to help English football, with this result we can't qualify for the U21 European Championships which also means the less than inspiring David Platt will lose his job. We'll be able to get a decent manager in there.

In an ideal world we would get another coach but errrr...
Whats the odds he either keeps his job or they appoint another muppet coach?
These are the same Football association who allowed howard wilkinson to sack the successful peter taylor and appoint then appoint himself as manager.

That's very true, I now fully expect Platt to lose his job 3 games into the next campaign followed by the quick appointment of Glenn Roeder.

I saw the goals on sky sport news and Portugal's 2nd goal was a hand ball by Postiga and should had been disalowed..however, it didn't look like it was delibarate. looks like he missed the heading and the ball just came to his arm. But for all fairness, all of the goals were a litle wierd more like defense mistakes, including the English goal wich resulted from a confusion on the Portuguese defense. The only (ok) goal for me was the first goal by Quaresma.

As for his reception when he returns to the Spurs, i don't think one thing has nothing to do with the other (lets hope that). He was playing for his country and did his best. He also will give his best for the Spurs.

First of all, Platt won't lose his job as long as Sven is there even though he blatently hasn't got a clue.

Having said that he got his tactics spot on last night, by luck or judgement who knows?

Ameobi was immense as he collected long balls on his chest, held them up, and laid them off. Other good performances by Joey Barton (Man City) and Peter (?) Clarke (Everton). A mention should go to the Portuguese centre back who name escapes me, he won many vital headers inside the box despite his small stature.

However this one good performance should not cloud the many many dreadful ones the team has had under Platt and he should lose his job, even though I think i is unlikely.

We have this notion that we'd like them to use their feet or head to score.

Silly i know, but, there you have it.........
