yeah Digao is currently training with the team.
I know that the board really wants this guy to join but I don't think he'll be there much longer.
We'll see what happens.

Digao is woeful. I remember seeing him play for Milan in a Coppa Italia game and he's worse than Darren Moore!

He also holds an Italian passport, so he would not count as a non-UEFA player.
In the BL there is no limit for non-UEFA player. You can start with 11 Brazilians if you like to. In the past there has been a limit, but with the local player rule, you only need some locals/guys from own youth in your squad.
Other topic:
I like the Freiburg kits, they are simple, but look nice. :)

That is true, but considering how last year Nesta, Favalli, Senderos and Thiago Silva were injured for long stretches of time, you would think he would get playing time!

Maybe he's thinking about the DfB Pokal. They still have limits right? (at least for the starting lineup) Or am I out-of date?

He was injured too. Knee.
And besides, if he was really good enough to play at AC Milan, do you think he would be on trial at freakin' Freiburg??

no Digão

the sport director says they are scared of the old knee injury and that the finances weren't matching up. Dütt echoed the first point by saying, although he thinks he can play at a high level, he wasn't sure when Digão could help the team due to the injury.

Wow! I never knew this thread existed! This is exciting.
I caught the end of the season opener against Hamburg on ESPN Deportes last week. I was shocked that itwas on, but very thrilled to see the stadium and the slick new uniforms!
I bet this team will find a way to stay up!
Forza Freiburg!
