Good words. FSV Frankfurt should be neck deep in the relegation battle this season, so Bencik may even move on again after the season.....
yeah i'd think Bencik can score at least 10 for FSV...I just hope he isn't the next Regis Dorn....a guy who we barely used for a long time - when he did play was generally useless...Moved to a new team and became one of the best goalscoreres in 2nd liga that next season :p
but i really doubt that'd happen this time.

I'll reckon he'll do a job for FSV, he's big, strong, good target man for a team that will struggle.

plus it's more what he's used to - making his name at Saarbrücken

First match is against 1860 on Sunday...Really can't wait for it...Generally we do good against 1860 but aything can happen with these two teams...Being the first match of the season makes it even more unpredictable...But i believe we'll come out fairly strong and take the 3 points.

Sportfriend, what do you expect of the season?
I ask, because SCF bought and sold a lot of good players.

I love 1860, but you guys should take them in a tight match.

often people say we'll do good but never expect much of us...And then by the end of the season we're missing promotion by a point or two!
this side is building up, and i think we've made some of the best signings in many years...I'm very excited to see how these guys work together throughout the season...I just hope it doesn't take them too long to gel.
Both our captain (Heiko Butscher) and Trainer (Robin Dutt) made it clear that this time around...the Aufstieg is the clear goal...I am expecting that also.
we finally have a goalkeeper in Simon Pouplin who was a decent player for a good team in the French first division (Rennes) with other players like Abdessadki, Türker, Bechmann, Idrissou and Jaeger (who seems on fire at the moment...hopefully he can keep it up) we might finally have a really strong and consistent offense....Our midfield with Günes, Abdessadki, Uzoma - Flum and Schuster is backups...will be strong...My only real fear is our backline if lets say Krmas or Butscher were to be injured...We don't have many real replacements except hit or miss Barth...Although Schwaab and Flum i know are capable of filling in as a centre back if needed.
so yes i am expecting to be playing in 1st liga for next season!
hopefully, since i'll probably be there a year today for the month of August.

We still have lots of work to do. Today we were luckier than a leprachun on St. Patrick's Day.....

I won't lie, I'll be rooting for 1860, but my heart will not break if you guys win.

wow, what a match!
now we have some holes defensively and again always gotta make better use of your chances...But today this team showed what it's capable of - on the first match day obviously nobody expects a perfect performance...but that was pretty damn good.
This team has some creativity and power upfront that we've missed so much since Iashi left Pitroipa.
today Abdessadki and Jaeger were just an incredible team...Schlitte was also very impressive on the left wing there...Eke Uzoma has shut me up, and possibly saved the game a couple times with those incredible tackles! and whenever he goes up front it's always exciting.
Butscher and Krmas left a couple holes and were caught by their speed a bit...But the plays (Butscher in particular) made to keep the ball out of the net made up for that.
After this game i'm even more excited...
here are some pictures of the beautiful choreo made by the Wilde Jungs Freiburg. :D

haha yeah i was gonna say he wasn't that great.
I would never associate him with a Fussball Gott - he's a decent player but often disappoints...Plus he's kind of an asshole
Butscher is the real leader on this team.

tongue was firmly in cheek, but I seem to recall him being pretty popular the first time he laced up his cleats for SCF, at least until he took off.

I just put it together why I am a Günes fan. He was the one who shot the two goals in Nürnberg on the last day of the 1999 season. The 2-1 victory http://www.fussballdaten.de/bundesliga/1999/34/nuernberg-freiburg/ , combined with Frankfurt's 5-1 victory over Kaiserslautern, sent Nürnberg down and removed any relegation doubt from a Freiburg perspective.
Edit: Here are the final standings. http://www.fussballdaten.de/bundesliga/1999/34/
As a bonus, I was in the Frankenstadion that day.
So to hell with all of you: Ali Günes ist ein Fussball Gott! :p

well to many, Ali Günes is the original "Fussball Gott" before he went to play in Turkey...But for a lot of active fans, you won't hear them yelling Fussball Gott! after his name is announced.
i met him last august and people told me he was kind of a dick with fans...he did not disappoint ;) haha.
