Blue Celery, I know the formation is narrow, but don't forget that we have two of the best attacking fullbacks in the biz. :D This would be my ideal formation (if the Robinho rumors have any truth to them).

------------------------------Drogba
-----------------Robinho
-------------------------Deco

--------------Lampard-------------Ballack
-------------------------Essien
-----------A. Cole-------------------Bosingwa
----------------------Carvs---Terry

--------------------------Cech

Could easily be converted into a 4-3-3 by moving the CAM to the wings. We could alternate between Joey/Deco and Mikel and any of the 3. We still keep our midfield integrity with Deco adding another dimension in attack. The width comes from Mr. Tweedy and Unibrow. Although Robinho would be a great asset, I'm perfectly fine with Kalou, who happens to do his best work as a withdrawn forward (for CIV anyway).

It's all right. I was in the middle of Rock Band - Drums on More Than A Feeling. I just had enough time to hit refresh during the lulls and see that I carried the vote! But the finale was too intense to disengage from. I sacrificed for the band!

Anyway, what I would have said is....

We still need a striker. Isn't Schweinsteiger also coming?

Why would we downgrade our midfield with him?

Think J Cole, except not as technically gifted, weaker in vision and poorer in shooting.

Oh, I know.

It was just a sort of rebuttal to his not knowing who Ashley Young is.

Schweinsteiger actually has good technique, but the simple fact is that he is one of those players that seems to perform well enough in International competition but less than spectacular at domestic level for whatever reason. If he can't delivery for Bayern, then there's no way he is going to deliver for Chelsea.

He's crap is what I'm trying to say.

Hahaha. I'm not sure if he's simply crap. I see things from him that I like, but I wouldn't want him with us.

I really hope the Robinho rumors are true....

I am going to literally jump up and down with joy if i wake up one of these days and hear Chelsea have completed the signing of Robinho...

Nine times out of ten you'll find people will know Schweinsteiger more than this Young guy.

His shooting and crossing is much better than Joe Cole's.

That's actually the exact opposite. Schweinsteiger performs really well for Munich but hadn't for Germany up until this EURO where he was arguably the best player in the tourny.

have you seen the final? Ashley Cole and SWP cross better than he did in that final.
