Came from the rival of my team, but he is from my state, so I hope does well for you guys. He is a versatil player, but I think he plays best when he is playing the left CM position.

LOL!! But I do have to say I like these moves Hoeness is making.
Let's see if they work out. I think you guys are going to be hard to beat.
There might be some problems at first, but I think you guys will settle well.
And you've still stayed young. Very good work by Hoeness and I assume Favre.

Hertha Berlin played Liverpool in a pre-season friendly today in Berlin. It ended 0-0 with Voronin missing a penalty. Overall Hertha was the more adventurous and dangerous team. It looked like they played with their youth team out there, some really young guys in the team. Can't wait to see more of them this upcoming season.

I remember Mainz beating Liverpool like 5-0 2 or 3 years ago, lol. Liverpool sucks in pre-season.

LFC played a lot of kids. It's not like they were out there with Gerrard, Alonso, Torres and those guys. The biggest names I saw out there were Masharano (yes, I know I spelled it wrong), Kuyt and Carragher.
Hertha played a lot of their new guys and kids. No A. Friedrich or Simunic.
It was not an entertaining match by any means. My girlfriend is a LFC fan (she was born in Liverpool) and she hated it.
I think the "highlight" of the match was Voronin's failure to put a penalty past Christian Fiedler. And Voronin's shot was so weak, I could swear Voronin didn't want to put it past him.
It was horrible even for a pre-season match. I'm so happy I didn't make the trip for it.

Yea it wasn't a great match by any stretch of the imagination. I enjoyed it though since I'm so football starved and can't wait for the season to begin. And like I said, Liverpool always underperforms in pre-season, at least in recent memory, with or without their first team players.
BTW, I didn't know Benitez and Fabre were friends. The commentator said they talk on the phone quite a lot.

Well, there's Dortmund v. Bayern tonight. I think that one will be a bit better.
BTW, I didn't know Benitez and Fabre were friends. The commentator said they talk on the phone quite a lot.
Benitez and Favre both confirmed this in separate interviews with DSF after the match.
