who's at the reciveng end of his kick? jansen?

anyway, olth, babic says that he signed hertha because the coach sees him as a left sided midfielder, which is also his favorite position.

Mertesacker.

Which is why they'd better have extra security on this asshole when/if they go to Bremen.

It's Mertesacker, hence Eisenfuß Eilts' comments.

Haven't forgotten that either, especially since it cost us Frings, who was in amazing form, in the semi final against Italy. Bundesliga clubs should try to attract quality foreigners, not scum like this, a guy who has a well known reputation for being a dirty bastard, and had problems wherever he played.

I think Hertha's management wisely realized they are largely lucky to be where they are and moved to make the team better.

Apparently, they believe this guy will help them enough to make the shit they are going to take from fans in the rest of Germany worth it.

Bayer Leverkusen has acquired former Hertha BSC Berlin goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly to hold down the 3rd goalkeeper spot at Bayer.

The 32-year-old Kiraly joins Bayer from English club Burnley FC on a free transfer. The Hungarian goalkeeper signed a contract through the end of the season.

He's a free transfer, I can't see how Hertha could not have made the deal considering who the wing backs of our team were?

If he didn't have the history he had, he'd probably interest Werder because your wingbacks aren't exactly that good either.

Plus he can play both wingback position and center back as well.

As for Babic I'd play him as the first sub off the bench. to be honest though, once Lustenberger, Kacar, Lucio (match-fitness), Pisczcek and Dardai are fit, I don't see where he will fit except at LB.

Loved him but I don't think Alder or Fernandez has anything to learn from him except for maybe going crazy once and a while:D

Pantelic with a brace, Hertha leading 2-0. Looks like Bayern will be on a UEFA Cup spot after this Spieltag. :)

P.S.: Köhler scored for Frankfurt, 2-1 now.

Win! :)

Couldn't see much of the game because the stream was down:(

Looked like we owed a lot of our win to Drobny again
Better be lucky than good I guess.

We're 2nd.

I refuse to believe we're in a title race. Anyone who tries to sway me otherwise will be banned ;)

At least until after the Bayern game. If we beat Bayern then we can talk, but by then I think the world will end. Kinda like Schalke winning the Meisterschaft :)

My ratings for the match:

Drobny 2,5
Friedrich 2,5
Simunic 2,5
von Bergen 4,5
Stein 5
Cicero 4,5
Nicu 4
Raffael 3
Ebert 3,5
Voronin 4
Pantelic 1,5

Does anyone know when is Kacar going to recover? When he recovers Hertha will be even better.

Nice photo. :D

How are the chances of Pantelic staying in Berlin? He would be very hard to replace.

He will leave at the end of the season.100%

I'd say 90%. Maybe the 10% is the romantic side of me I dunno ;)

Ebert was doing better in the beginning of the season but got injured after Spieltag 4 and only now has he regained fitness. He wasn't bad yesterday.
