Three Serbs scored a goal tonight(Novakovic is a Serb with Slovenian passport).
Come on. I don't think you can find more than 10% of their national team players that are ethnic Slovenians :D
It is obvious that you do not understand the relationship between me and footyfan.:D For everything i say to him i have to offer evidence, because, obviously,i am pathological liar, who even dares to contradict the information" he gets from his Serbian friends" Footyfan is know-it-all who immediately realized that Herthas interest was revealed by " Balkanian liar Ivan Tomic" just to pump up the price of his player. Because as we all know, the favourite pastime of Balkanian people is-lying, and spreading false information just to blur the sight of experts like -Footyfan.
By the way i was also asked to prove him that Neven Subotic is ethnic Serb. Because i did not have his birth certificate, i was disqualified as
a liar. What can we do.

Right, I get it.
Tomic: "Well you know, Hertha is very interested in our player."
Alex Ferguson: "Oh no! We can't outbid Hertha!"

I have the full match between Hertha vs Cologne! Even the hugs between Pantelic and Favre after the match. It will be worth 1000 € in 10 years :D

Boy, is someone an over-sensitive crybaby or what?
I only gave you what I've taken from my experiences with Serbian press. And still, to this point, the majority of Serbia rumors that cross my boxes turn out to be bullshit.
Want another example?
The silly reports that came out about a month or so ago that Subotic had already decided to play for Serbia and would play in your last friendly.
But I guess you're going to tell me those reports didn't come out of Serbia.
Anyhow, staying on Subotic, I think you've got the wrong person on your bitching about his ethnicity.
I'm one of the people who only said he is eligible to play for three countries and even admitted he'll probably choose Serbia.
The US Soccer Federation is too stupid to make good use of such a talent anyhow.
If I remember properly, at one point, I even defended your point that he can play for Serbia because someone else was being totally ridiculous about it. After that, I watched you argue with others on Subotic. I won't touch that situation and decided not to anymore a long time ago.
I was one of those who asked that the discussion be stopped because it was getting to be borderline political.
Go back and check. It wasn't me arguing with you so vehemently about Subotic.
Serbov, I'm not a "know it all", but if you think I think I am, so be it. I am well informed and f#cking proud of that, but I don't know everything. I'm here for information myself.
But when I know either someone or their source is full of shit, I will call them on it. And that's whether it be you, TOLH, another of the moderators or anyone f#cking else around here.
You're not special and I don't look to pick on you. You just don't like it when someone has the audacity to doubt something you post.
If I'm wrong, I'll tell everyone I was wrong and if need be, I'll apologize.
Ask TOLH if I'm lying there.
However, I don't recall anything that you posted, I disputed and I turned out to be "wrong" about.
Even the one thing I pressed you on, the validity of many Serbian reports, I never said they were all bullshit, but most that have come across my boxes have been.
Again, a recent example was the last Subotic bullshit.
And it's not just Serbs or "Balkan Peoples" and I think you're a whining a$$hole for saying that shit.
I just slammed some guys in the Polish press for suggesting Liverpool has "revealed" they are going to make Dortmund a 15 million pound offer for Jakub Blaszyzkowski (Kuba).
I know Liverpool has made a few mistakes recently and "Kuba" is a very good player, but thinking they are going to make a 15M POUND offer is utterly ridiculous. It was just the Polish press trying to pump up the status of their new "wunderkind."
Are the Polish "Balkan Peoples" too?? I don't think so. Maybe they are. They must be since I just called some of their reporters liars.
My comments were about the football reporting that comes out of your country. Not the "Balkan Peoples" you crybaby.
If you are going to react to a differing opinion than yours that way all the time then screw you. I don't need this shit and everyone else doesn't need to read it.
You come with this bullshit right when I was actually going to ask you your thoughts on Milan Jovanovic and how he would do in the Bundesliga as Borussia Dortmund will probably be looking to replace Alexander Frei after this season.
But yes, I do have other Serb sources and I'll be glad to just ask them.

I don't think the USSF will be responsible for losing Subotic. They'd gladly roll out the red carpet for him. The decision will be his.

I'm talking about how they've already pissed him off and really have not made any overtures to even try to lure him back.
I'm sorry man, I just have zero confidence in those guys.

You should try to understand that not all the informations journalists report are true. That is the case with Marca, Gazzeta, l Equipe.... Serbian press is not an exception. Like my grandfather used to say: A, they have to fill in all tha papers with something!
As for that Subotic thing....Serbian press only reported what Antic said: I have talked to Subotic and he is close to declaring for Serbia.Paralelly sportskacentrala wrote: " Subotic still reluctant" . So if you want to talk about Serbian press you should check all sources, before writing off all of them as a " load of bullshit". I do not know what crosses your box.
As for you backing me on the matter of Nevens nationality:To refresh your memory:
I've found nothing that refers to his "nationality" as "Serbian." Nothing.
He's eligible to play for Serbia, yes, but that isn't "his nationality", nor does he claim it.
Perhaps it is you and not the Germans who want to claim each athlete you possibly can.
:D Once again i do not have his birth certificate.
As for you admitting that he was probably going to choose Serbia...
he's more likely to return to the US fold than play for Serbia too
What are you? BS policeman who is always on duty? You should stop stalking and ambushing people.
As for you being right in disputes with me....
You missed the part of my post about Kacar? You also rated Rukavina higher than Owomoyela.
Who is a cry baby now? Oh,i wanted to ask Serbov something but now i do not want because he is in conflict with me.Smrc, smrc.. But i will answer you. Jovanovic is at the moment the best striker of our NT and Standard Liege. He has outstanding speed, technique and can assist as well.
And, you should not try that hard to show me that, if i were to come to your town to watch ski jumps, you would not welcome me with flowers.:D

I would actually sit with you and discuss our differences over a cold beer. Two guys like us would probably get along in person.
And yes, you are right about the things I said there. I thought you were talking about the arguments you had with guys at the Subotic forum.
I will apologize for being wrong, but not for what I said.
Again, I still haven't found anything official that refers to his "nationality" as Serbian.
He's eligible to play for Serbia as it is the homeland of his parents as we've been told.
However, that gets into politics.
Do I know that Banja Luka was still a part of the old Yugoslavia when he was born?
Of course. And I guess to you, that makes him "Serbian."
Does that make him "Serbian" to the rest of us? No.
Why?
Because the place he was born is now part of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Does he carry a Serbian passport? Not that I know of. As far as I know, he carries passports from Bosnia and the USA.
As far as I know, he would still have to apply for a citizenship transfer to play for Serbia. Funny, if he were already "Serbian", why would he have to do that?
This gets into the political discussion I wanted to avoid. I don't want to get into political discussions.
You see it your way, the rest of us see it another.
Dude, I don't enjoy the "fights" we have. I'd love to put the crap behind us.
As I said earlier, I'd love your opinion of Milan Jovanovic. But now I also see that Belgian news claims that Real Madrid, Sevilla and Bayern are interested in him.
I was going to see if he might wind up with Dortmund or Hertha.......

Aha, now i see that we have different views of what nationality is. You tie it to passport. In the Balkans it is not the case, considering complicated situation we have. ( I am not arguing now, just trying to explain you, something you do not understand). In America it is different, Serbs, Croatians , Greeks..... who live there are all Americans. That is understandable because in such huge country , multi-cultural country, similarities are more important than differences. Here it is contrary. Ethnic Serbs, live in : Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, some in FYROM... They all have different passports( because of political situation) but they are all Serbs. I am from Montenegro , Podgorica, but in my personal papers it says : Nationality: Serbian. In Bosnia we have 49% Serbs. Neven is one of them. Talented Serbs from Bosnia always choose to represent Serbia in sports. Bodiroga, Danilovic, Milosevic, Kuzmanovic...
I do not understand this what you said: He can play for Serbia as that is the homeland of his parents? His parents were not born in Serbia. But,there is another thing. He was born in 1988( Yugoslavia still existed) so he is deemed to have been a citizen of all countries in Ex-Yu so he can choose which one to play for if he so wishes.
Belgium newspapers are bullshit.:DSevilla, Bayern, Real.... cmon. I am surprised you did not react to that bullshit.:D

I've never understood those "Balkan peoples." You all speak the same language, (Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian) yet need different names for it, and even a different alphabet, just to be different.
It seems that ethnicity is more tied to religion (Catholics, muslims, Orthodox) than to anything else.
