Hertha look to sign Cicero permanently. I guess they should talk about that. Even though he's on loan for 2 years, I think he could be attracting clubs who want to sign him. He's our top goalscorer this season, and while he can be a bit inconsistent, I think in another year we could have the player that Kevin Prince Boateng was supposed to be...

Maxi Nicu has also been very good this year. I didn't expect him to have a great impact this year, I thought of him more as a squaddie, but due to injuries to Lucio and Ebert and Pisczcek (who is out until February), he's been thrust in and has performed very well.

This winter, I hope they don't go out and try to get an out-of-reach player. Favre has shown to be quite astute in the transfer market, but now we need to consolidate. If we can re-sign Pantelic, that would be good still (even though we've shown we might not need to have him). I'd just be happy if we signed Voronin permanently (or agree on another year loan, but I think its unlikely). A bonus would be signing another wingback, like Dusko Tosic or Dante of Standard Liege.

WE SURVIVED.

Hertha blitzed to a 3-0 lead thanks to Raffael, Kacar and Cicero, but had to survive a 2nd half onslaught. All I have to say after this game is *phew*. All credit to Bochum for coming to fight and throw everything including the kitchen sink at us in the 2nd half, but we won and thats what matters :) We're tied with Bayern (our goal difference is pretty bad though) and we've only 4 pts away from Hoffenheim :)

Hertha may suck at buying players, but loans, we are experts (okay, I creatively forgot about Tobias Grahn but its a loan :D ). There is a clause in his contract which says we can buy him for less than 4 million euros, a great deal for one of the finds of this season in the Bundesliga.

Hertha did not get ANY help yesterday from their UEFA Pokal foes, and thus, MUST ABSOLUTELY win our "heimspiel" against Galatasary :mad: I'm now very pessimistic about our chances of reaching the group stages, I don't think we can get a result in Piraeus.

Tonight, though, we play 1. FC Koeln in the Oly. Cicero and Voronin look set to start despite a flu epidemic lately that has struck the club. Which means that Pantelic again will start from the bench.

Hertha fans should now become huge Metalist fans. Metalist plays Olympiakos at home, then Benfica away. Olympiakos is 1 point above Hertha, Benfica is 1 point below, but has played one more game. A Hertha win over Galatasaray (not impossible) and a Metalist win over Olympiakos means Hertha sit with 5 points over Olympiakos' 4, meaning a draw will do in Greece.

Yes a win against Galatasaray is a prerequisite. But I wouldn't worry too much. Metalist beat Galatasaray in Turkey, and Hertha tied Metalist, so the difference in class doesn't appear to be huge. Anyway, a win against Galatasaray is only going to be worth something if Metalist beat Olympiakos, because it will keep Hertha's destiny in their own hands only needing a draw. If Olympiakos win, Hertha needs to win both of their final matches.

So, I must admit i was wrong when i said that Hertha was going to buy Zoran Tosic. It looks like Manchester United has bought him. In fact i onlz reported Herthas interest in him but footyfan somehow managed to lure me into claiming that Hertha was going to buy him in January. Ok , i am always ready to admit when i am wrong but it looks like footyfan is not from the same material. I do remember that when i said:"Gojko is Herthas best player after Pantelic" he responded with : LMAO(whatever it means).
He also said: I am going to admit that i am wrong when the time comes. So?
Anyway great game for Gojko. Our commentator is having a seizure. He was like: Great goal by Gojko. As if he is 31 and not 21.And Voronin, i will say his full name , he deserves it. So bravo Andrei Victorovich Voronin!:D

Considering that United was interested in buying the player, was it 7 million pounds? I'd say there is a good chance Hertha were interested as well. Your posts only said that there was interest. So I don't think you were wrong.

It is obvious that you do not understand the relationship between me and footyfan.:D For everything i say to him i have to offer evidence, because, obviously,i am pathological liar, who even dares to contradict the information" he gets from his Serbian friends" Footyfan is know-it-all who immediately realized that Herthas interest was revealed by " Balkanian liar Ivan Tomic" just to pump up the price of his player. Because as we all know, the favourite pastime of Balkanian people is-lying, and spreading false information just to blur the sight of experts like -Footyfan.
By the way i was also asked to prove him that Neven Subotic is ethnic Serb. Because i did not have his birth certificate, i was disqualified as
