Anybody happen to see van der Vaart's touch on the only goal Ajax scored in their last match against FC Zwolle? Back to the goal, quick heel up to redirect the ball....just SICK. Youngest player ever capped for Holland (and think of some of the guys who have played for Holland), youngest ever captain of Ajax. If he ends up at Old Trafford I may jump off a bridge.
I know I go on and on about this guy, but I can think of no better guy to wear the #10 next year when Dennis steps out of it. I only hope that Arsenal has some money and they're willing to spend it. Maybe Wenger will put his foot down and demand the guy. Maybe I'll wake up on a pile of cash tomorrow, too, but a guy can dream, can't he?
Coach, I don't he VdV is as good as you think he is. I think he is better.
This guy would be like having a 20-year old DB10 / Pires at their best combo. Ok, as long as we're having a little fun, here's my 2006/07 starting line up as we open the new stadium:

It's good to see there are others out there who share my vdV affliction. As hard as it is to believe, I think Henry might score 10 more a year with vsV serving it up from the midfield, although Cesc would surely nab a few goals as well.
And I'll be glad to watch that line-up all day long and twice on Saturdays.
Now what can we do about getting Adu signed up in the next 5 years....
