No idea what this hs anything to do with Chelsea........but i certainly do not think Ramos is the best RB in the world. Pathetic defensive ability and positioning.
Anyway, here u go
----------------------------Buffon
---Daniel Alves------Terry-----------Ferdinand----------Lahm
--C.Ronaldo--------Essien------------KaKa-------------Ribery
--------------------Messi
------------------------------------Ibrahimovic

...................James
Brown......Richards.........Ferdinand......Lescott
Beckham....Gerrard.........Barry..........Young
...............Rooney.........Walcott
As you can see, this is an all English line-up. However there are some notable exclusions
These people have been excluded for various reasons:
FatFrank- too slow, only knows how to shoot and passing skill horrendous, can only score from deflections , sucks at penalties
Terry- brutal thug, no respect for referees, big game bottler
J. Cole- useless showpony, Lennon so much better, extremely overrated, plays for Chelsea
A. Cole- dirty thug, no respect for officials ,adulterer, traitor, money minded
Bridge - bad defensively, not first choice in his club, plays for Chelsea

LOL, you insult Ramos for bad defensive ability/positioning and Alves is your RB.

To suggest that Sergio Ramos is not a world class defender implies a lack of knowledge of the player. Real Madrid signed him for 27 quid from Sevilla in 2005 and he has proved an excellent investment.
He is known for his strong defending, accurate crosses into the box, runs down the right wing, excellent in the air and a constant threat on goal at set pieces.

If they signed him for his defence 27 quid is about right:p:D. He is very good going forward, but he is far far from top class defensivley especially at fulback where he is constantly beat though not quite as much as Alves.

Amount of $$$ spent on a player means nothing.
The fact that Inter can supposedly sign Frank for all of 7 million is a testament to that.

see above thread regarding Sheva
we also spent 10 mil on Chris Sutton
13.5 mil on Malouda
21 mil on SWP
the list goes on and on

If Phillips actually started in a good position (as in, he was managed well), I think he'd prove his worth.

not for 21 mil.
As stated he is one of those player who needs a long run in a team and unfortunately one is really not allowed to have more than one bad game without fear of being dropped in this team.
Unless of course your name is Shevchenko or Malouda.

There is quite a difference between spending 30 million on Sheva and 27 million on Ramos. Real Madrid saw great potential in Ramos who was about 19 or 20 when they signed him and he has been a huge success with them.
Sheva, on the other hand was way beyond his prime, and a figment of Roman's imagination, who obviously insisted on taking the gamble on him.
It is obvious which one was the better investment!

28 goals in 40 games for Sheva in his final season at Milan. If that's "way past his prime", let's start to age our players a bit.
According to your logic regarding Ramos, that is actually the exact same reasoning behind signing Shevchenko. What club WOULDN'T have wanted him?

Shevchenko, on paper, should have been a great signing but the cost just didn't do it.
I do like some of the stuff he's done this season, and I love Sheva, he is one of my favorite players (well from Milan time anyways) and I was delighted when we signed him. I've been hard on him, I guess since we expected alot more. But this season, IMO he was muuch better. He may not be the quickest, but he finishes very well, has scored some important goals (Leicester, Villa, Bolton, Valencia, Rosenborg) and I am no longer terrified when we start him, actually I quite like him getting his chances though I am incredibly biased :p
If he was a third choice striker, he's doing a pretty good job of it. He's not start worthy though, and he probably never will be, but as long as he's happy here keep him.
Keep him if he's happy. That's where it should end. We bought him two seasons ago, so there's no point constantly discussing old news,t hings we've already talked about.

You misinterpeted my logic. The manner in which football is played in England and Italy is totally different. The Premiership game is faster and more physical.
The 30 year old Sheva found that out when he only scored 4 Premiership goals in his first season after arriving for 30 million from AC Milan.
The Ramos signing by Real Madrid was a totally different investment. It was for a young player with tremendous potential who was accustomed to playing in the Spanish league.
