View Full Version : Help me come up with an Arsenal license plate

Ok so here's my problem, I just bought a new car, and wanted to get a license plate that simply said "ARSENAL" or if that wasn't there "ARSNL" something along those lines. Only it seems every varient is taken. "ARSNL FC", "GOONERS" "GUNNERS", about the only luck I've had is "AFC UK" which is ok I guess but I'm trying to figure out any other options that might be open to me.
So if anyone can come up with a different 7 letter way of proclaiming my love for Arsenal I'd love to hear it cause I'm all out of ideas.

You could always try
ARSE-0
As in Arse"nil" :)
Of course, the zero could be interepreted many different ways. Like "hole" for example.
Sorry, I'm no help.

There's a lot of ways you could go with this one, some having to do with individual players:
HGHBURY
GOGUNRS
ARSENL1
DB10
HENRY14
You could also go the "rip the rivals" route, although the DMV might not allow the following:
SPRSSUK
MANUSUX
KevTheGooner

UPDARSE? (although you wouldn't want to have that plate on in certain parts of DC!)
1NL2AFC?
GOONR?
AFC4EVR?
Why not have your favorite player? DB10? TH14? PV4?

Good thread.
I live in Maryland and on my car I have GUNNERS. So many people ask me what it means. It's to the point now where I tell them I'm a hitman. ;)

How many letters do you get in DC? I know we get 7 in Virginia. That may limit what you can get. Personally I like AFC UK. That or any of the player abbreviations.

Not an Arsenal fan, but that is classic! I had to have a shattered jaw put back together so I have a nice scar on my neck and my friends would always tell people it was from a gang fight or a bondage accident!

I'm VA too also, though not for long as I'm moving to CO at the beginning of October but I want to get the personalized plate before I leave.
I actually like the GOGUNRS one so I think now it's a tossup between AFC UK and GOGUNRS
edit: Damn just checked and GOGUNRS is already taken. I think unless someone thinks up a totally awesome one I may just get AFC UK

Oh yea, I forgot to include the picture of the car, since I've already got the necessary stickers on it.

The rules on out-of-state license plates are pretty tight in Colorado. You have 30 days after you start work or it's a $1000 fine. So don't spend a lot of plates that you'll have to take off. Still no law against supporting out-of-country footy clubs, though.

I think the Strong Bad decal in the lower right corner really makes the car.
As for the plates:
GUNNERZ
AFC4EVR
BNGGS00 (Maybe too cryptic. It's "Bang goes nil-nil", but it might be a bit hard to explain.)
or, in a blatant attempt at copyright infringement:
ARSE-AM

Cripes that's crazy but I had already planned on talking to an insurance agent and figuring out exactly what I had to do to get my car 'legal' for CO after I got out there. I tried going to the CO state DMV website but found it looked like a 12yr old had designed it and it was about as helpful as a sack of potatoes.
And I don't really care about spending the money on the VA plates, its only 10bux to get them so it's not like it'll break the bank. Plus I'll try to get the same ones in CO and if it doen't work then I can just stick them in the back window of the car ;]

Nice stickers. I have a DC United and US Soccer one to go along with my plates. You're definitely on the right track!

Sorry I was absent that day in "Coolness Class". Actually, the "z" is there because "GUNNERS" is more than likely taken.
And no, I don't belong to a car club named "MydNyght Dreamz", nor do I drive anything that could be considered a "sport compact".
But thanks for bringing it up.

I live in NJ and just bought a new car and wondered if anyone knew if the Arsenal plate was taken as you have to apply and wait 3 weeks before finding out if you got it.

When I move to Florida in 3 years time I intend to have
"ARSENAL" as my licence plate. I won't say what county I will be going to, to ensure that no one else gets it.
If you do, then it's not more tickets for Yanks!!! (LOL).

Damn, in MD they can tell you right away. I went in and applied for ARSENAL & GUNNERS and the lady looked it up on the computer and said both were available. So I went with GUNNERS.
