King of overrated, hailed as worldclass from scoring against Reading, Fulham, Derby etc.
Doesnt do it enough against top opposition for me.
Hey he scored against us, we're top opposition.

You're suggesting Torres isn't world class?

I was just using your post as point in a debate with another poster not with yourself. I'd agree with that, he's got a bit to learn with his defending but he has the makings of being one of the best there is.
I definitely agree that he will be one of the very best there is, and Paolo Maldini thinks too. But I just think that his defending has let him down this tournament while he's been brilliant in the attack. I in no way meant to insinuate that a bad tournament makes a bad player.

I just don't agree his defending has been bad, at all.

His record in the Champions league and 1 goal in euro 2008 despite his team reaching the final would suggest I have a case.

Torres is a world-class striker, but he's never really fit into the Spanish system. Guiza, on the other hand, is a poorer striker overall but does well in the system.

WOW look how easily the ref called a two handed touch by Ramos on a German, not a push a Touch!

There's more to being world class than scoring goals.

I just don't agree his defending has been bad, at all.
Well, we'll have to agree to disagree, but his ratings from the group stages have not been very good and I think even in his best game he only got a 6.5.

Does that mean Wayne Rooney is world class in your opinion then?

I'll disregard the goal to debate with you...:p
In his group stage games he had nothing to do, how could he have gained any higher rating? Against Russia he was an 8.
