I just found out about this today. I am definitely going. I would love to do some chanting. Since many people have work, the ESC and BB contingent will probably be small, but together it could be something.

I am not 100 percent sure where it is. It is somewhere in Sara Roosevelt Park though. The B and D train stop literally right next to the park.

Hope to see you there Woodside.

As per NY Times:
The match will be 8-on-8 and will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. on the Nike field at the Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Chrystie Street (between Rivington and Stanton Streets).

F or V train to 2nd Ave station will leave you closest. Take the back of the train.

This is the field:

I read that Steve Nash is in favour about a expansion of Vancouver in MLS and that Thierry Henry loves NYC.
My question is this : can Henry be helpful about our plan to bring a NYC soccer team in MLS ( to sign our petition for example ) ?

I'll be there. If Nash says anything about Portland, I'll kick his ass.

Last night on FSC they said that Steve Nash will make an announcement about Vancouver expansion at the All-Star game.

So, how will the schedule in a 24 team league work?

honestly - 12 teams in a conference

Play the 11 other teams in your conference twice home and away 22 games and 12 games against the other conference 12 games - = 34 games

It was partly tongue in cheek, but yeah, I've thought about it and thought the same thing. I think it would work out quite well.

I didn't see any of you BB guys, it was so packed. When did you guys get there? Getting there at 5:30 meant you wouldn't have been able to get in. The only way people got in at 5:30 was if they crawled under a fence that I lifted up for them. I smuggled in like 50 people lol. Me and a few other ESCers were standing at the northwest corner of the field. We arrived at around 4:45.

what's with Reyna? Wasn't he supposedly injuried? But he played in this right?

He played, he must just not be game ready yet. He didn't have to run or do anything physical. He is not going to play against Chivas tomorrow. We are playing fine without him. I wish he would just retire so the DP spot could be used on someone else. Angel did not play in the charity match and will not play against Chivas.

Ill never understand the situation with Reyna. I know he's obviously not looking to give up his big money contract with Red Bulls but thats the deal. You play in this big charity event and you cant play for your team?

There's got to be something there that's not being talked about. Maybe Osorio is trying to save them for the home stretch?

i'm just glad i got to see a fcuking goal at giants stadium for the
first time during the RedBull game....
Though the US game was amazing, it was my first time there
and the ball never hit the net.
