I've noticed a couple of you guys on here are hockey fans so you know what the NY Islanders have been through. Looking through their forum tonight I found this thread about someone trying to organize a protest because yet again the Isles passed over an elite prospect in the draft in Filatov. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=527054 The guy uses Liverpool as an example when he says we need to show more passion about what has gone on with the team over the past 15 years. And most of the posters think he's an idiot for wanting to protest. They are saying that's why American sports fans are "better" than other countries. What the ******** is wrong with these people?!?! They're fine with just sitting back and watching this once great organization go down the crapper. Imagine the message it would send if a sellout crowd at the Coliseum walked out after the anthem or stood with their backs towards the ice. This is something I just don't get about the American sports fan and is why I love being a soccer fan. It is just a completely different culture. Sorry for this long rant but I felt like I had to do it.
