Aztex Asking for Our Vote

On their website. For best slogan (http://www.austinaztex.com/home/253620.html). Assuming you understand Spanish. I know there's a couple folks on here that do.

I've read over them a couple times.

I went with "Azteca por Vida". I wonder how you say "I drink your milkshake" in Spanish?

There are Gringo Aztec Fans too u know who only speek spanglish at the best ok

And secondly I never saw a public notice for a slogan vote, way ta leave us in the dark :mad:

But hey who gives a flip, es all good, all that matters es we all, spanglish, english and spanish speakers, root for the Red an Whites forever :)

Alejo, relax. This was an informal poll that this group started a while back, and the reason a number of the slogans are in Spanish (not all) is that there is a significant Spanish speaking audience who support the Aztex.

I think it should also be noted that this Supporters forum is NOT formally tied to the Aztex organization. It's independent.

I guess you mean the Spanish-language slogan poll on th austinaztex.com. That poll, and the corresponding grassroots marketing around it (which you probably didn't see because it was targeted at Hispanic audiences ;)), was set up by the team for two purposes: to determine the Spanish slogan, and to have a marketing hook to Spanish-speaking fans in Austin.

The English slogan ("World's game, Austin's team", iirc) was come up with by the team, before the season even started, probably. Just like the name itself, the jersey colors, etc. They probably would have had a fan vote for that, too if they didn't need it for advertising & merchandise. Or maybe they just didn't have the idea until later! ;)
