It's time to go for the Olympic Gold, maybe we can repeat the 2004 Gold Medal run.

Discuss.

Oscar USTARI, (Getafe, Spain)
Sergio ROMERO, (AZ Alkmaar, Holland)
Federico FAZIO, (Sevilla, Spain)
Jonatan MAIDANA, (Boca Juniors, Argentina)Gabriel PALETTA, (Boca Juniors, Argentina)
Ezequiel GARAY, (Racing Santander, Spain)
Emiliano INSUA, (Liverpool, England)
Luciano MONZÓN (Boca Juniors, Argentina)
Pablo ZABALETA, (Espanyol, Spain)
Ever BANEGA, (Valencia, Spain)
Javier MASCHERANO (Liverpool, England)
Angel DI MARIA, (Benfica, Portugal)
Damián ESCUDERO, (Vélez Sársfield, Argentina)
Fernando GAGO (Real Madrid, Spain)
Juan Román RIQUELME (Boca Juniors, Argentina)
Lionel MESSI (FC Barcelona, Spain)
Sergio AGÜERO (Atletico de Madrid, Spain)
Ezequiel LAVEZZI, (Napoli, Italia)
Gonzalo HIGUAIN, (Real Madrid, Spain)
Diego BUONANOTTE (River Plate, Argentina)
José SOSA, (Bayern Munich, Germany)
Mauro ZÁRATE (Birmingham City, England)
Diego VALERI, (Lanús, Argentina)

Pff picking 18 (Or is it 17 or 16? Mascherano and Riquelme are confirmed right?) players out of this list is going to be a though job for Batista. I'm interested in how all our players are going to play together. The Guatemala game was fun with Roman controlling the pace and with Lavezzi and Escudero creating mayhem on the flanks and Pipita being the #9.

I wonder what the average height of the team is? Isn't Diego Valeri like 5 foot 2?

Nah 5 foot 10, you're probably thinking about Diego Buonanotte.

I've read somewhere that Coloccini's club won't release him.

No Higuain or Insua are definite candidates for the next world cup and the Olympics is a gateway to be on the team for the 2nd round of action for WC qualifying. Sad :(

No Higuain is a definate oversight, he in the last games he played for Real was a monster:rolleyes:, I mean this kid has potential in spades.

Excuse me, but I want to ask something in Spanish:

¿Finalmente irá Messi a Pekín? Según parece el Barça está presionando mucho para que el chico se quede para jugar la previa de la Champions League. ¿Qué opináis?
