In no chronological order, all the goals from the last Olympics from the defending champions. I believe Tevez got a goal in every game for a total of 9 goals.

I still remember that game against Italy 4 years ago fondly. Loved how Tevez ran circles around Pirlo.

Didn't you guys play Australia as well in 2004 olympics and only just beat them 1-0? You'll have no trouble this year against them though, shit coach and an inconsistent team. Never know, they could rise to the occasion again.

I'll just copy what I posted in the Argentine board:

Tough opening match. I'm a bit concerned about the defense, especially the fullbacks, but offensively I think they played well and can only get better as they play more time together.

Here's my evaluation of the players, while it's still fresh:

Ustari 5: Was not tested much, but I think he should have stopped their goal.

Zabaleta 5: Partly responsible for the goal and sometimes not precise with the ball, but at least he showed himself to be an option going forward.

Garay 6: He was beaten a few times, but played hard and was solid for the most part.

Pareja 8: Good on the air, and marking, and showed leadership. The best of the defense.

Monzon 3: Poor game for Monzon, he made Gervinio look like Garrincha.

Mascherano 6: Always a warrior, and a key in midfield, but he commited too many fouls.

Gago 5: Uncharacteristically imprecise with the ball.

Riquelme 8: A key to the win, a factor in the goals, and it's good to see him look for Messi so much.

Messi 9: The man of the match. Scored a goal and was primarily responsible for the other, and he was always dangerous. The scary thing is that he was the best, and yet we know he can play much better.

Aguero 5: Did not participate much, and couldn't finish when he got the chance. Hopefully we'll see the real Kun show up.

Lavezzi 5: He opened spaces and worked hard, but was imprecise and didn't create or finish.

Subs:

Di Maria 7: In a short time he affected the play and created danger.

Acosta 8: Came in, and scored the winning goal. What more can be asked?

They showed it delayed, at 7:30 AM on Telemundo. I was planning to watch it without checking the result, but after IC tied it I couldn't help but cheat. It was a very good match, and IC has a nice team.

Yeah.. if you have DirectTV, check channel 406. That's Telemundo Internacional, and today they showed the game live directly from Shanghai. Channel 52 (the other Telemundo) has it on Eastern Time, so they broadcasted it on tape delay three hours later.

Well I finally caught the match taped. I thought we played well in spurts, the first 20 minutes we played very well and Aguero should have done better with the early chance. I will go on record to for saying that the Ivory Coast has considrable talent and played very well tacticaly and used their strengths very well indeed.
Aguero today was dissapointing, Monzon too, and I saw little from Gago.
All that aside I think Argentina played well in the first match and we did get the three points to work from. I will not fault Zabaleta on the Ivory Coast gola , I think he was flat footed for the jump and did get a push from behind, I will say that Ustari could have been better positioned but I would not fault him either.
