Just finished my first season in 09, Xisco was a freak'n beast. He scored 30 goals in the EPL and 7 more in cups, I have never had a striker score 37 total, and finish with 16 assists, he was just sick. Oh, won League and FA cups and finished 3rd in league.

(Still on FM08)
Managed to avoid getting sacked by the end of the second season, for once, as Newcastle. First season flirted with the top 4 before finishing fifth and lost in the FA Cup semis. Second season gave a good title chase for the first 3/4 of the season and finished fourth, won the Uefa Cup (2-1 over Liverpool) and the FA Cup (4-0 over Everton).
Roster this season
Starters - Shay Given, Leighton Baines, Guglielmo Stendardo, Steven Taylor, Rafinha, Sunny, Charles N'Zogbia, Jacob Lensky, James Milner, Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins
Other key players - David Rozehnal, Gabriel Paletta, Gabriel Tamas, Habib Beye, Emre, Rafael van der Vaart (usually starts but was crocked for 4 months), Alan Smith, Shane Ferguson, Kazenga LuaLua, James Troisi
Owen scored 41 goals and 13 assists in 54 appearances for me this season, Martins had 32 goals and 19 assists in 53 appearances, and Milner had 8 goals and 21 assists in 54 games.

Was that still on the first patch? Because ever since I've updated Xisco's been nothing for me.

As Jared forewarned me would be the case, money became a pain and the expectations were unrealistic for Newcastle, so I jumped ship at the first opportunity. Now managing Inter Milan where I have an attacking midfield of Kun Aguero, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jonathan de Guzman... >.> Can't seem to muster much momentum though, I'm really having trouble adjusting to the Italian league. So many good defenses that I can't break down.

Yeah it was, I haven't down loaded the next patch, I usually wait until after the January window to get all of those player movements in that patch.
The funny thing is, he went to Real, and hasn't done anything. He has only played in half their games and only has 7 goals. My offense isn't doing as well without him either though. I have 3 mids leading me in scoring and I am winning a lot of 2-1 or 1-0 games in my second season. i played Xisco alone up top in a 4-3-3 ala Chelski. He did not do well playing with another striker, but really seemed to thrive when I changed formations.

Computer crashed and had to restart. A couple of young prospects people need to pick up that I have found are better than I thought they would be.
I. Camacho-he is a DM/CM at Atletico and is only 18, really good for his age.
R. Carioca-DM from Flumanise (Sp?) in Brazil, again 18 or 19 and really good for his age.
Ryan Taylor is actually really good in the sim guys for anybody looking to add our Jan. transfer guys. McLoven is fast, but just OK otherwise. Nolan is a depth guy in this.

If any of you guys are still playing FM 09 or WWSM09, get Fedrico Fazio, the Argentine defender. He is a beast in D and on corner's. He scored 22 goals for me this past season in all competitions, all on corner kicks. He is definitely worth whatever you have to pay for him.

Forgot about this thread. I had the same kind of success with Felipe. When I bought him he was uncapped for Brazil, then he scored around 20 goals off corners and got his first few caps in the WC. He had another big year after, but he's tailed off recently, I relied on Taylor for those goals last year, but he's got nothing this year.
Just won my second league title, really need to focus on the Champions League and FA Cup this season. I think it's 2016/2017.

Fazio is epic, even when I played FM08.

I'm having a hard time catching onto any games right now.
I'm playing a game with ManCity right now just because it's fun to freely spend and put together a Brittish "Galacticos." I keep restarting a career in MLS but after a few hours I get angry over the salary cap and squad member limits.
Suggestions?

I just start with a random team in Europe now. Got Braga this time and am currently top of the league after a handful of games. Of course, haven't played any of the big three yet.

Oddly enough I left PES this year for FIFA. It was a bad break up that included lots of cheating and hurt feelings.
Beyond soccer games, Empire: Total War is getting lots of attention lately.
