Do you have to most recent update from SI?

Have you edited any game data?

I downloaded the latest patch but it didn't help that game so I started over. And I don't have the know-how to edit game data even if I wanted to. :o

Then your stability troubles really are a mystery to me.

Then your stability troubles really are a mystery to me.

The only thing I've imported into the game are some training and tactic files from JaredSS07. Other than that I've run it as is.

Here's the video for FM2009. (http://uk.youtube.com/sigames) If you haven't watched it already you should.

New features look good including a 3D match engine that looks class.

More assistant manager feedback, press conferences, and an improved transfer system are also in it. Looks good.

Well great, I had decided long ago that I wasn't going to buy the new version of FM.

But that was before I found out about the 3-D match engine.

Damn it.

Well, the video didn't work for me so I guess I don't have to worry about it. Besides, as others have said, it's too much like a real job for me to enjoy the game. And it drives me crazy not to be able to play the games. If I want to watch a soccer match, I'll turn on the TV and watch a real one.

Arg, I'm at that point in the season where the AI basically "cracks" my tactics and I won't be able to get a result no matter what. Now I have to start tweaking things and it isn't really the time for it, since it's February, I'm only four points clear at the top of the league, have the first leg of my Champions League second round tie against Real Madrid coming up, and have the League Cup Final against Boro on the docket, both in the next couple weeks.

This AI tactics crap is one of the most frustrating things in the game.

After one season at Man City, Robinho gets sold back to Real Madrid for 39 million pounds. I guess no one told him Man City is the place to be.

That Bob Smith regen I was talking about a while ago just got sold for £10m by fat Mike (to Bolton of all clubs). To be fair he was valued at £5m and I negotiated for £10m + 30% of future fee (just to see if they would) and he accepted it. He was only a back up like, but I need homegrown players for the Champs league. He meddles in transfers even on FM, "too good to turn down" my arse.

I also spent £89m on Silva from Valencia . He's the best player on the game and my squad is quality now. Going for my third CL title. I may be able to drive Man Utd into administration, I've been watching their finances go downhill for years now. I've heard other people have seen Chelsea go bust too.

Oh and I forgot to mention I'm England manager now too. Is it unfair on Man Yoo that Rooney plays the full 90 minutes and I sub Carroll off so he's fit for my league games?

Is anyone having a go at FM09 yet? It's pretty awesome, albeit running very slowly on my computer.

Did you buy it or download it?

I haven't got the new FM09 yet because I've heard its full of bugs and there was a patch released the same day. I'll wait a couple of weeks to see what its like. I think you can purchase a download for those of you in America (most of you).

Yup, I am really liking the new 3D game screen. Playing Newcastle sitting 3 in the league. My next 4 games though are killers, Chelski, Manure, L'pool, Arsenal. Signed a couple of FA to start the season:

Juan Angel Albin (great option on left opposite Jonas)
Willian (freakin money, takes a few months to adjust but he is young and good)
Song from Arsenal on loan

Xisco and Zamblera have been good options for me...currently running

Given

Beye-Colo-Bassong-Enrique

Song

RM-Jonas LM-Albin

Willian

Xisco-Owen

Bench:
Krul
Taylor
N'Zog
Gonzalez
Guthrie
Lua Lua
Zamblera

I don't care much about any other improvement because the 3D view is amazing. Makes tactics so much easier and matches more fun.

First impressions... Way to man injuries and Martins sucks. MA is selling, I had to deal with a transfer embargo and was going to lose my job if the takeover happened. Thankfully just like real life, it didn't happen.

When you start a new game, saying you are a Sunday League Footballer is not a good idea. All the players hate you and you cannot motivate them.

I am really loving the new press conference feature.
