It appears every time a team peaks, then they lose. This looks very good for the Germans who are next in line to peak.

Wow! After that many years... I don't remember the 1984 final, I was 7 back then. Weird, since I remember some earlier football matches.

Torres is average. He can only shine in England, or with another striker besides hin.
We lost Villa but we won Ramos and Iniesta back. Great news.

MotM, IMO, either Marchena or Ramos.

I expected the russians to attack more, I don't know if they were too cautious or we managed to shut them down.

Arshavin is a good player, but he was hyped beyond reason, and people forgot he was playing against some guys that have proven themselves in the top leagues of Europe.

Pavlyuchenko, on the other hand, looks good.

Why do ESPN announcers mock soccer, other languages and cultures? it makes me cringe and embarrasses me as an American to hear them at times.

I'll digress, just hate watching the highlights and having to hear a fake German accent, purposely butchering of names, etc.

Apparently Aragones said Villa is out for the final. So I guess back to the 4-1-4-1.

Spain 2 Germany 0 next Sunday.

I wont be surprised if Spain win, but don't bet on a shut-out. Germany has too much fire-power up front for that to happen. I think the final will end either 2:1 or 3:2. I don't dare guess at who wins though.

I've NEVER, in 26 years of watching Spain's MNT, seen Spain field a mentally sound, defensively sure team. NEVER. This is NOT the old Spain.

I am still waiting for Spain's "big f***up". It's NOT happening.

Germans better not be overconfident.

Spain no chance? Yeah, like 1984 when Maceda sent Germany packing in France.

They haven't reported on the details of the injury but it occurred during a free kick attempt. From the looks of it might be either an acl or hamstring injury.
