Is it safe to say this has been the best first half of the tournament?

Sabri nearly scored from outside the area there.
So how many of these Turks are going to sign for major European teams after this tournament? I can't imagine too many of them are going to be playing in the Turkish Superleague next year.

According to John Moton's commentary, there are two Kazim Richards playing for Turkey. No wonder they're playing so well.

props to Turkey for not sitting back and defending against Germany despite fielding a reserve team. This is what soccer is about not the negative play of some teams that I will not name.

If Turkey loses this game, to me, they are still winners of this Euro. Wow. What a performance, even with all the crap that's been happening to them.

Yup. A Turkey-Russia would be the dream final. Unlikely to happen, though.
The Football Gods often smile on the Germans. And Italians (but not this time).

This is a great game.
And here we were thinking Russia-Spain would be the one exciting one. Mind you, it still will be a good one.

What will be Turkey's substitution strategy in the 2nd half? The players on the field now are playing fantastic but I have to imagine they'll get tired and Germany will surely be using their subs.

Germany plays like Italy the other day, defensive minded...afraid to attack ...hoping to make it to PKs...Germany now is not Germany decades ago...Turkey is more technical and quicker

We'll see if the backup goalie plays outfield for Turkey ;) .
Great first half. Lehmann looks v. nervous this tourney, IMO.
Schweinsteiger's dive there was pretty bad, but nice goal! I'm still not sure why Volkan got 2 games for a red and Schweinsteiger got one. Ah well..
Hoping for an awesome 2nd half as well! :)
