Not to be argumentative, but we know UEFA allowed Germany to call up a player: I guess just one. They are not giving any slack to Turkey and that isn't fair.
it's one thing to have an emergency call-up before the start of the tournament (I know of at least one other NT that was allowed to do that) or calling new players up in the middle of the tournament. That would be used as a precedent for future tournaments and possibly be used for the wrong reasons..
It's gonna be a hell of a game, only 1,5 hours to go !!

Also Germany's personell problems were due to injuries, not suspensions.

torque informative post,I agree mostly except two points
1) Tuncay is not a loss for Turkey, most people glad he is not playing
I remember Ridvan (and old soccer play and one of the best footbal guru, saying at the last min of Croatia match when it was 1-0, he was saying
`no Tuncay no dont shoot , no please no`, 1-2 sec later Tuncay took a shoot from 40-45 m. I think he is the best player in ball stealing , unfortunately from teammates not opponents.
2) Feldkamp is most important foreigner coach in Turkey history (you can argue if Derwall or Feldkamp, its ok, but saying Daum and Low and not mentioning him is not fair)

somebody said in previous posts, Germany was in a similar position in terms of missing players, and won 96.
interesting point. without doubt if you ask someone in Turkey, who is best players of Turkey , they say
- Arda (suspended)
- Nihat (injured)
- Servet (injured)
- Hamit (playing)
- Emre (injured)
- Gokhan Gonul (injured)
I am not even counting Tuncay, where some people will put.
I remember that match, even Kouba`s surprise to golden goal, frankly did not remember Germany was in such a desperate situation and here is Germany`s squad in final:
No Player Name
1 Andreas Köpke
5 Thomas Helmer
6 Matthias Sammer
8 Mehmet Scholl
10 Thomas Hässler
11 Stefan Kuntz
14 Markus Babbel
17 Christian Ziege
18 Jürgen Klinsmann
19 Thomas Strunz
21 Dieter Eilts
Substitutes
3 Marco Bode
12 Oliver Kahn
16 René Schneider
20 Oliver Bierhoff
22 Oliver Reck
So at that time I think most important players were Kopke, Sammer, Scholl, Klinsmann, Ziege, Hassler, Moller and Koehler. It seems only Moller and Kohler missing, who was an important German player at that time?
I am not sure if this situation is similar to Turkey`s.

hi Sinan,
As for Tuncay, he lost from his attacking skills however he gained defensively and in terms of tackling. As such, I think the reverse. I am aware that a lot of people disagree with me, though.
As for Feldkamp, I completely agree that I should have mentioned him.

I am not sure if this situation is similar to Turkey`s.Some of the players who played in the final were injured for other matches in the tournament. Klinsmann missed at least one match due to an injury for example.

The Turks are having a much better go of it so far.
However, I think the only way they can win is to score soon.
Wow, and there it was off the woodwork for Kazim Kazim!
