I've been to a county fair and three rodeos but I've never seen that before!

ESPN is really getting burned now for not having their announcers at the stadium. That is really unprofessional. If they were there they could at least be giving us PBP, but ESPN is too cheap for that.

Are you seriously trying to blame ESPN for power problems in Switzerland?

Wow, now I've heard EVERYTHING.

at least my local ESPN AM radio network was broadcasting the game live from the stadium with LOCAL broadcasters there with PBP

Anyone else noticed an injured Turk on the final German Goal? Maybe a little sportsmanship, fairplay would have been nice?

I guess you don't read well, that was not his complaint.

Someone provide a link to ESPN feedback.

They need to know they were absolutely wrong for not sending commentators to the stadium, at least for the semifinals. They ruined an exciting game by not being able to have PBP during the technical difficulties.

Let the people have a voice.

This destroyed the whole moment.

I must admit against Portugal I was rooting for Germany, that sentiment is totally gone after this game...

The BBC commentators are still talking like we can't see anything. Yet we can!

No, he's saying ESPN are cheap for not sending announcers to the actual countries.

They only have so many press booths to give away and the US isn't high on the list.

Russia will score at least a couple against germany, spain will be a very boring game, but spain will probably choke at the end

The guy went down to the ground on his own and wasn't even fouled.
It could have very easily been him trying to slow the game down.

How the ******** were the Germans to know? It was literally 4 seconds from the time the Englishman hit the deck till the ball was in the net.

Not even slightly. I'm only saying that they should have had their crew at the stadium in the first place, and if they had, we could have had oral PBP during the blackouts. Would they ever try to broadcast the Super Bowl from Bristol?

Its not quite like that. They only have room for so many announcing teams in the stadium and the US isn't going to get in over a European nation for a European tournament.

WRONG he said that ESPN should have announcers at the stadium giving the viewers live commentary instead of at the studio.

I hope not. I'm one of those hoping for a complete power change in world football, so here's to either Spain or Russia beating the living daylight out of Germany.

ESPN has one announcer there. To bad he wasn't used today.
