So I'm guessing the lightning was not near the stadium then?

Was the game delayed at all?
Why would it be?

should have been considered with a worldwide television blackout.

Well, if the power outage was at the stadium, the game would've been delayed. Apparently there was a lightning hit somewhere else in Switzerland.

Turkish corner, cleared.
Lehmann is still looking pretty shaky.

That's never happened before to the best of my knowledge and I pray to god it never will. No way should you suspend a game just for tv

Agreed. But if they had actually lost power at the stadium, they would've delayed it since there would've been no lights. :D

It'd be real unfair to the fans.... where the heck was this strike of lightning? Switzerland? We haven't really heard yet...

The Turks have definitely been on their heels this half. Hitzlsperger nearly scored there.

Longer this game goes the more it favours Germany - the turks just don't have the subs to counter Germany bringing on fresh legs

Plenty of time remaining, but I can't help to think...
Possible 'shock of all shocks' scenario:
The match goes to penalties and the Germans lose.
They may as well cancel the other semi and hand Turkey the cup right then and there.

If the fresh legs belong to Gomez....I think they'll manage somehow.
