The Germans are playing much better with Frings in there.
They've completely dominated the second half so far.

It seems like the Turks have resorted to some cheap fouls. I hope that's not the case, but that's what it looks like.
Ballack fouled just outside the area, about 20 yards out at the top of the arc.

The replay showed the contact first occured outside of the area. The question is, did the contact continue into the penalty area?

Looked like it should have been a free kick to me. Most of the contact was outside the box, so that's where I would have called the foul. Calling nothing, though, is just strange. The only thing I can see justifying that is that the ref concluded the ball had already gotten away from the attacker and the contact was incidental. That's a pretty liberal interpretation of incidental contact, though.

Turkey are playing rough now. Semih really needs to be careful... he's already been booked. LOL and now the referee awards a bogus freekick.. ref is losing it.
