Group 1
Malta vs Israel
France at Slovenia
France clinches a place in the finals with a win or draw. Slovenia clinches the playoff with a win or draw or an Israel draw or loss.
Group 2
Bosnia-Herzegovina at Luxembourg
Romania at Denmark
A Denmark win clinches a spot in the finals. A Romania win clinches at least a playoff spot. Denmark could still take the top spot with a win next month. A Denmark win would like let Norway slide into the playoff spot despite their loss today. A draw for Romania isn't good enough. Norway would still top them with a win next month.
Group 3
Netherlands at Czech Republic
Belarus at Moldova
Netherlands and Czech Republic has clinched top 2. The winner of this game will win the group regardless of what happens next month in the final games. If this game is a draw, it will have to wait until next month to be decided.
Group 4
Sweden at Poland
Hungary at Latvia
None of these 4 are eliminated yet in the most wide open of the groups. However a win by Sweden clinches advancement to the finals. A win by Hungary nails down the playoff spot. Failure by either leaves it hanging until next month.
Group 5
Lithuania at Faroe Islands
Scotland at Germany
Despite the draw with Germany leaving Iceland at the top of the standings, they are still likely to be on the outside looking in. The winner of this match is on top of the group. Then Scotland has Lithuania at home to garner points and Iceland must go to Germany. If Germany wins this match, Iceland would travel needing a win to advance.
Group 6
Armenia at Northern Ireland
Ukraine at Spain
These games are pretty meaningless. Greece has the automatic advancement all but nailed virtually guaranteed 3 points at home next month. Spain doesn't need to win this game to advance -- they'd still get the playoff spot with a win next month at Armenia. However, just a draw on Wednesday clinches the playoff spot for Spain.
Group 7
Liechtenstein at England
Macedonia at Slovakia
Turkey and England are clinched top 2. England will go back on top of the table with a win this week. Then they'd only need a draw next month at Turkey to advance to the finals. A win by either clinches advancement and the loser would be left with a playoff.
Group 8
Croatia at Belgium
Bulgaria at Andorra
Bulgarian will handle Andorra clinching at least a playoff spot. A Belgian win hands the automatic spot in the finals to Bulgaria and also leaves them alive for the playoff spot. However, they'll have to win by more than 4 or they'll need help next month. A Croatian win or draw clinches the playoff spot for them and means the final game next month against Bulgaria will be for automatic advancement to the finals.
Group 9
Finland at Wales
Italy at Serbia/Montenegro
Wins by Wales and Italy knock Finland and Serbia/Montenegro out. With only lowly Azerbaijan remaining, a win by Italy also virtually wraps up automatic advancement. A draw by Italy leaves Wales back in first needing a win at home vs. Serbia to go to the finals.
Group 10
Georgia at Albania
Switzerland at Russia
A Switzerland win gives them the spot in the finals and leaves Russia and Ireland to fight for the playoff spot in the games next month. A Russian win puts them in the drivers seat giving them the opportunity guarantee a final 2 finish by beating Georgia next month. The loser of Switzerland v. Ireland next month would be done.

I still think that Bosnia-Herzegovina still has a good chance to get a playoff spot.
Romania has one game left on the road against Denmark. Norway plays at home against Luxembourg.
Bosnia-Herzegovina to qualify:
- Romania needs to lose or tie at Denmark
- Norway needs to lose at least one more game (either at home against Luxembourg... yeah right! or at Bosnia-Herzegovina).
- Bosnia needs to win their last two games. On the road against Luxembourg and at home against Denmark.
Denmark will not want to play in Bosnia if they home team still has some thing to play for. The fans can be very intimidating.

Sorry Alphonse, but I don't understand anything of what you write. Geez, I'm not that good in English (French Canadian) but I think I can at least be understood here!
Stop putting "le" and "la" in your sentences, you're writing in English, not in French!

You've got yourself a bit mixed up there. Norway lost to Bosnia allready on Saturday. If Bosnia wins the last two games they are at least second. Belive it or not they can even win the group if Denmark and Romania draw. If that happens the Bosnia-Denmark game would be huge. If Denmark beat Romania they will be group winners before that match which will make it easier for Bosnia to get a win and grab the 2. place. There is a lot of exicetment among Bosnians about this , and there will be 20 000 Bosnian imigrants that will support them in Luxemburg.

I have a hunch that Wales will fall apart after their last two loses to to Serbia and Italy. I can see Finland maybe getting the win or a tie in Wales and then Serbia also getting a win in Wales. Italy will tie or maybe even win in Serbia and will get the 3 points against Azerbijian to finish in the Top spot.

I don't think so. Wales went to Serbia banged up and were missing a few key players. They're still a little banged up against Italy and nobody expected them to hold off Italy as well as Italy has been playing.
Now they're at home for the next two. Big difference. Wales only needs to draw in their last game with Serbia OR draw Finland and have Italy draw or beat Serbia to secure the playoff spot. There's very little chance that they'll lose 2 at home. Even if they do, Serbia still has to at least draw Italy -- no easy task.

Group 1
France in finals
Slovenia in playoff
This one is easy -- no explanation needed.
Group 2
Denmark in finals
Bosnia-Herzegovina in playoff
Ok, you guys have convinced me. Denmark clinches the top spot with a win Wednesday and doesn't care about the result in Bosnia next month -- this allows Bosnia to jump over both Romania and Norway with a win.
Group 3
Netherlands in finals
Czech Republic in playoff
Wednesday's game ends 1-1. Both win their final contest, so they are even all around in head-to-head. Then it comes down to Netherlands' superior overall goal differential to put them in the finals.
Group 4
Sweden in finals
Hungary in playoff
Poland and Sweden draw this week. Hungary wins at Latvia eliminating the Latvians. Next month, Hungary hosts Poland needing only a draw to advance, which they get. Sweden beats Latvia at home to take the top spot.
Group 5
Germany in finals
Scotland in playoff
Germany continues its woeful play of late and draws at home to Scotland. But then they regroup next month and beat Iceland. Scotland beats Lithuania to take the playoff spot.
Group 6
Greece in finals
Spain in playoff
Spain beats Ukraine on Wednesday, but it's not enough to take the top spot as Greece finishes with a win over Northern Ireland.
Group 7
England in finals
Turkey in playoff
England is able to draw Turkey next month to hold onto the top spot.
Group 8
Bulgaria in finals
Croatia in playoff
Bulgaria wins and Croatia draws on Wednesday. Then Croatia wins at home to pull even on points, but only wins 2-1, so Bulgaria wins the head-to-head tie breaker.
Group 9
Italy in finals
Wales in playoff
Italy and Wales each win remaining games leaving them in the same position they are currently in.
Group 10
Russia in finals
Switzerland in playoff
Russia wins its final two matches to take the top spot. Switzerland and Ireland draw next month to get the Swiss in the playoff.
In the Finals
Portugal
France
Denmark
Netherlands
Sweden
Germany
Greece
England
Bulgaria
Italy
Russia
In the Playoff
The teams listed below would be in the playoffs. It is my understanding that the teams in the playoffs will be ranked and a team from the top 5 will be drawn against a team from the bottom 5. The teams are listed below according to their rankings. The rankings are determined by figuring their record against the 1st, 3rd & 4th place teams in their groups.
Czech Republic
Spain
Turkey
Wales
Croatia
Hungary
Scotland
Slovenia
Switzerland
Bosnia-Herzegovina
If it plays out this way, we could get some very interesting matchups in the playoffs...
Czech Replublic v. Slovenia
Wales v. Scotland
Croatia v. Bosnia-Herz.

Which superior goal difference. Netherlands are now 4 behind the Czechs. I don't see us beat Moldova with more than 5-0.

Last qualifying campains there just was a free draw. So no seeded teams in the play-off's. So in your case also Spain-Czech Rep. is a possible play-off match.

You're right. I looked at something wrong.
My predictions are all shot to hell already anyway. CR is up 2-0 and Holland are playing with 10 men.
However, if they can come back for a draw, they'd earn the head-to-head tie breaker by virtue of their 2 away goals to CR's 1.
