One hell of a main event here:
MAIN CARD
* Champion Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin (UFC Light Heavyweight Title Defense)
* Ricardo Almeida vs. Patrick Cote
* Joe Stevenson vs. Gleison Tibau
* Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle
* Marcus Aurelio vs. Tyson Griffin
TAPED MATCHES
* Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Justin McCully
* Jorge Gurgel vs. Cole Miller
* Melvin Guillard vs. Dennis Siver
* Justin Bucholz vs. Corey Hill
* Jared Rollins vs. Ben Saunders
-- Rampage by flash knockout in the third round.
-- Haven't seen Stevenson in a while. Been a fan of his since he won on whichever season of TUF he was on.
-- But this is still pretty much a one-match show. :D

A good line-up but the main event is what everyone wants. I'll be up in the mountains that week and won't see it!
-- Haven't seen Stevenson in a while. Been a fan of his since he won on whichever season of TUF he was on.
He's a talented fighter but he needs to keep evolving and broadening his styles.
Last I remember he was being worked over by The Prodigy.

I don't know about that one. Forrest has a strong chin and a very big heart. I expect a war.

In his last fight, get got choked out by BJ. Still, he has a lot of heart and gives 110% whenever in the cage. Very humble as well. Totally like this guy & his attitude.

Overall another mediocre card. Typical UFC
Can't wait till UFC87 though.

Mediocre?
Rampage vs Griffin is a super-fight. And could easily be the fight of the year.
Rampage is a top 5 star in the UFC, and anytime he's defending a title...the show is not mediocre.

So I didn't watch this card. I found the fishing peir too hard to leave. What is the verdict from you guys? Was Griffin really that good? Was the rest of the card as good as the Sherdog pbp made it sound?

Feelings on the matches..
Griffin had the match in control from the minute he took that shot at Jackson's leg. Look like the judges had the rounds 4-1 in favour of Forrest, with the firt going to Jackson.
Good win by Stevenson with the choke hold. Same goes with Cote getting the split decision to move into the #1 contender position.
Lytle v. Koz: Blood on the mat, blood on both of them, and blood on the camera. Kos had that 'You gotta be f***ing kidding' look on his face at the start of the third round.
As well, what is with those CONDOMDEPOT.COM ads on the fighters trunks?

Honestly, other than the main event, this card was shyte...
Decision after decision the people were getting restless...
Griffin v. Aurelio was boring.
Kos v. Lytle was better but painful to watch. I know some of us want fighters to be out for blood, but that much blood is absurd.
Tibau v. Stevenson was annoying, I'm just gonna say it, Stevenson is a one trick pony, he and his guillotine chokes can go jump in a lake.
Cote v. Almeida pissed me off. Almeida clinched cote and tried to pull him into guard immediately, jeez. What a poos.
Now, Rampage v. Griffin was a real fight.
Rampage disappointed and griffin impressed. I didn't particularly like how Jackson was looking to counter punch so much in the beginning. Forrest wouldnt stand for it and messed up his leg. Good on Forest. It went to a decision, but was still exciting.
Now lets see Wanderlei v. Rampage III for a good brawl and a title shot.

I thought for fighting on one leg or most of the fight, Rampage did very well. I will give credit to Griffin but I do think Page will be back and get his belt back.

I think Rampage needs to go back to slammin fools. I miss that from him & every since he came into the Octagon. He needs to go back to that philosophy. I think it might be a while before Rampage becomes Champ again. Thiago Silvia & Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida look like people that will challenge Forrest for the belt. Also I like to see what will happen to the winner of the Evans vs. Liddell match up. Then don't forget that Anderson "da spyda" Silva is coming to LH. This will be the best division for years to come.

I taught his leg was done after that 2nd rd. He rebounded and pounded Griffin in the face for 2 straight rounds yet Griffin won I think the 3rd round when he did nothing but get smashed vs a One legged Rampage. I still don't understand UFC scoring system at times though.
Griffin got a 10-8 on that 2nd rd for buckling Rampage leg and just rubbing his elbows on his face for a straight minute. I mean come on??? I think one judge scored it a 49-46 for Griffin ??? This was very fishy considering this was a plain draw.

I thought Griffin won by a point. Dont agree with the judges scoring, but IMO, he won.
