Not a chance.

FFS, why can't England just have white shirts and socks, blue shorts and trim, with red numbers on the back?

It looks like a cheapo Tesco 2-stripe knock-off training shirt from the late 90s.

It may be the worst kit I've seen in about 5 years.

I was about to comment that it looks like a training top. The red on the sleeves is a weird shape and doesn't look right.

because sometimes you have to switch it up. start new traditions.

Yes, sometimes you do have to. Like slavery, or fox hunting. Not footy shirts.

i kinda like it, love the England print on the sleeves, but the thing is the Umbro logo being switched from right to left(from the wearer view) isnt too pleasing, it is like it is part of the England crest.

Why the bloody hell would you put the star on the sleeve? It's not for decoration, Umbro, it symbolizes a World Cup win!

I've usually been a fan of Umbro, but it seems they reserve their worst ideas for England.

the current away is much worse.

Thats probably why sports soccer are selling it for £4.99 when it still has over a year left to run.

Not really a fan of the new England shirt if indeed that is it. It just looks a bit too cluttered with the red around the badge and sleeves etc. Dont think ill be adding it to my collection unless sports soccer have it for £4.99 again! haha!

a friend of mine who is excellent at designing made some mock ups that he presented to Adidas and said that fans of the club he designed the kit for really loved it and the response he got was "people don't tell us what to make, we tell people what to like"

Here is a classic case umbro has now made 2 horrible England jerseys back to back and they will not sell (well as England qualifying would ensure sales)

It's sad to say but out of the retailers Nike is the one that listens most to people. Feedback is always welcomed (if you can get in touch with a higher up) and when designing kits they do try to take things like tradition into account and through in national touches in.

No I don't work for Nike but when I bad mouthed them for making Portugal all red back in 2006 I actually got an email back from someone there about it.

Now Nike owns Umbro but it's clear Umbro still has their own "creative" team doing w/e they want. The backwards logo placements Looks like England won the Umbro Cup and are sponsored by a Star.

I'm sorry, what store is this?

******** all. I shoulda bought an England shirt back in 2007. I keep waiting for them to get better and ... Well, Christ. My girl's going to be retired before I can get an England shirt with her name on the back.

Praise jesus these crap designs haven't trickled down to Norway's shirts yet.

Those new Nike jackets for Inter, Juve, Barca, etc. are straight dope as shit. If they made one for Benfica (damn Adidas...) or Portugal, I'd be all over them shits.

thank god that Umbro denied those were the England kits!!!

I guarantee you that was what they had planned, until they saw the reaction to it online.

Have you ever seen simon post a fake? Like, ever?

The new England shirt is simply awful, a 5 year old really could design something with more style. There's no way I'm getting that, even if England actually qualify this time!

Umm like blitzlegend said, Umbro has denied that that is the new kit.

Fair enough, although I'm more inclined to believe that the leak was intentional, and they have now realised what a piece of **** it is :D.

Likewise, as ctoa said, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a backup to cover for bad reactions.

In previous years Gamba Osaka usually was 1st with the new Umbro template, even before England...

http://www.gamba-osaka.net/en/index.html

I'm not sure if these are old ones, the diamond on the shoulders/sleeves thing looks diffrent to last years and the sleeves look similiarly patterned to the leaked England jersey don't you think ?
