I actually like those neon kits. I also liked Chelsea's from last season and Barcelona's from a couple seasons ago. I don't know why.

Man United are now taking pre-orders for the new third kit:
http://store.manutd.com/stores/manutd/products/kit_selector.aspx?selector=244
The thing is, they don't seem to be offering the Champions League lettering or even the title holder badge, and as we know this third kit is the Champions League kit, so it's going to be a let down unless they starting offering it.

turns out, it's a world cup 1958 anniversary kit to celebrate the world cup that was held in sweden that year.
i change my mind. i like collars, but the old school laces is, well, old school.
Ah, thank you. I remembered the flag being inside the badge, but wasn't sure why they trotted out the square flags.

As fond as I am of fluorescent yellow kits, I'm not a fan of this one.

It could just be that the lettering/patch etc for next season has not been confirmed. It is normally a bit later on in the season that they offer the champions league printing etc. So if thats what you DO want id wait a month or so and im sure you'll be able to get it.

Thanks. As it says on the Megastore, the shirt is launched on Tuesday September 16 - Matchday 1 of the Champions League. So you'd think that they'd have it sorted out a week before then at the very latest.

Man Utd 3rd 08/09...

United's new third kit has been inspired by the success of 1968, when the Reds wore blue while becoming the first English team to lift the European Cup.
To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the momentous night, Nike has created a kit worthy of that great team and their famous 4-1 win over Benfica at Wembley. United will therefore wear blue as their third kit for the 2008/09 campaign and as the preferred kit for this season's Champions League away matches.
The new blue shirt includes a number of details that celebrate the anniversary including the embroidery of the words 'May 29th 1968' and '40th Year Anniversary' around the crest.
The kit uses Nike Fit fabric technology, first used by Nike in national team kits worn by Nike-sponsored teams in the 2006 World Cup. This technology is designed to enhance player performance by wicking sweat through the material and away from the skin. A full mesh back on the player's jerseys also aids ventilation.
United defender Rio Ferdinand said: "When you look at the final image you will associate it with the great team of 1968 with the likes of George Best and Bobby Charlton.
"Obviously they won the European Cup in blue so we hope we can walk in their shoes again with this kit. It's such a big part of the history of the club."
The new third kit will be unveiled on ManUtd.com this Thursday 28 August, when you'll be able to place pre-orders in our online Megastore. We'll also reveal the winner of our competition to win a shirt signed by Sir Bobby Charlton and Ryan Giggs.

I know Goal.com isnt worth any real thought but they reported that Madrid is goig to cancell the Robinho deal and Chelsea has already started selling shirts with his name. Any truth to this?

New Portsmouth 2008/09 third shirt released 18/09/08. Looks same template as the white one but much better. Unusual for Canterbury to use the same template for 2 kits for the same team.

That black Portsmouth kit is actually necessary because they were stupid enough to have an away kit that has as much blue in it as some of their old home shirts have had.
