If all you are going to go by is stadiums, then Germany, Italy and England have to be right in there too.
well italy organized the 1990 WC, england the 1996 EURO, germany the 2006 WC
then its SPAIN.... they have to organized a new tournament, italia could be next...., and france later on

Finally some good news for England fans!
Sorry for my little teasing. :-)
Yeah, with 24 teams they could squeeze in right ahead of Andorra. :p

Italy has also hosted two Euros, both of them being more recent ('68, '80) than Spain's hosting in 1964, while Germany has also hosted the Euro more recently (1988). Doesn't matter to me who hosts, just saying...

And if England played the same "competition" (and I use that term loosely), they would never miss their regional tournament either.
I'm an American myself, but when it comes to this sport, we still can't justifiably talk s#it to the English just yet.
But then again, some fans just don't give a s#it about that.......

Actually, I think it should be the country who would have the least to do to get ready. That would be Germany.
But what I truly believe is that if the situation is the Poles can be ready and the Ukraines can't, the Poles should be allowed to keep their half and Germany support them with the use of Leipzig, Berlin and either Dresden (A new stadium is being built there) or Nuernberg.
In the cases of Leipizig, Dresden and Berlin, they are just as close, if not closer (I believe they are closer) to the Polish cities than the designated cities in Ukraine and good highways already exist. At least on the German side of the border they do.
Yeah, I'm a bit biased because I'm here in Germany, but I won't be in 2012. I also think that the Poles shouldn't be screwed if they can be ready and the Ukraines can't be.
Germany can co-host and Poland still gets to put on their part of the tournament.

AFAIK the rotation of the Euros and WC are independent. Italy hosting in '90 should have no relevance.

Not in this situation there doesn't.

Well, neither of us will make the decision if it is necessary, will we??

Exactly. One is UEFA and the other FIFA.

That's a very imaginative solution and one that would be a lot fairer to Poland if indeed they will be ready and their co-hosts not.
