Don't know if you've heard of this, its a ceremony in London held on the Queens Official Birthday, but I was involved this year for the second time and I was wondering whether the US have anything comparable.
The idea of Trooping the Colour is that the Regimental and Queens colours carried into battle would be the rallying point for their regiment, and therefore it was imperative that every soldier knew his regiments colour.
This year it was the turn of the Welsh Guards, but the Household Cavalry and King Troop Royal Horse Artillery were, as always involved on parade. I serve as a Lance Corporal of Horse in the Lifeguards, Household Cavalry.
