I'm not saying that, but it's typical that in 2004 and 2006 in the games that Holland was eliminated we had a crappy referee on the field too.

But I don't see how the referee's decision to give Van Persie the yellow has contributed to Russia getting the goal? Even if a yellow wasnt given, but just a foul was, I think the same result would've ensued.

dangerous free kick position for sneijder....

Vap Persie threw his elbow out when the Russian was behind him. The caution was completely justified. Regardless, how does that yellow card equate to the referee causing the Dutch to be losing right now.

The Russians are outplaying them. The ref hasn't got anything to do with that.

Exactly.

Tommy is complaining about the free kick being given. How sad.

Where did I say that the referee is the cause that Holland is losing? I am just saying that every game we get eliminated there is a bad referee on the pitch.

Van Persie did not know the Russian was there, why should he get a card when the Russian decides to walk against his arm?

van Persie's free kick was sadder. How does Snjeider not take that kick??

If you guys lose this game (not saying I hope or want you to), but you will lose because you've been outplayed not because of the referee.

Either way, lets hope the game gets even more exciting. Great match thusfar.

This referee is not bad. The only person who thinks that he's a bad ref is you.

If the Dutch want to win, they might try to do a better job scoring.

Totally agree. And don't forget that we're witnessing a tactical lesson too.......

Sigh, I have not said that Holland losing is linked to the referee, why do you people keep on bringing that up.

The only thing I said is that every time Holland gets eliminated that there is a bad referee on the pitch.

The next person that claims I said that Holland being behind is because of the referee either needs to buy some glasses or learn to read.

can we stop talking about the ref?

i think he's had a fair game so far. if there's anyone to blame, it's the players at the moment.

I saw despair in Snjeider's eyes when he just missed that shot.

Are the Dutch already beaten??

You're the one who brought up the referee being bad. That implies that you think the Dutch are losing because of the ref being bad.

If you feel that he's having no influence on the game, why the hell did you bother to mention him?

Well, you are the only person who thinks he is a bad ref. Everyone else thinks hes have an great game. Which is not surprising considering he is the best in the world and is favorite to do the WC Final in 2010, IMO.

this is the first time the dutch have faced adversity in this tournament, and they're not responding well at all.

Or the Russians for plain beating them so far......

Alright but I don't really see your point. You claim that every time Holland gets eliminated there is a bad referee, ok so what?

I for one think the ref has done a good job up to this point.

Seems like they don't believe that they can still win it. And they certainly won't with that attitude.

Exactly. They need something to bounce their way because their body language suggests they are already beaten.
