Every time Holland get kicked out of a tournament they have a retarded referee.
So holland is out now.

Are you mad?
Hahhah Great goal.... great playing by the Russians. I'd love to see how the Dutch respond to being down 1-0 - never happened yet.
LOL! I just switched to see the score and ended up watching a couple of minutes.
Engelaar off, Affelay on.

The goal has really set the game up nicely. The Dutch have to attack and Russia are excellent on the counter. Should be an intriguing last half hour.

Yeah. This game only has what is probably the best referee in the world right now.

I was thinking he was having a good game. He's willing to let some contact go and not buying too many dives.

There's nothing wrong with this referee.
The reason the Dutch are losing right now is that the Russians are winning.

Really, he just gave an unnecessary card to Van Persie and when van Bronckhorst deserved a card he gave one to Van der Vaart instead...

So no Huntelaar or Robben for the Dutch? In my mind, Van Basten should have waited longer to make the second sub (for Bouhlarouz).

Van Persie elbowed a Russian player in the face. That card was perfectly legit.
Regardless, the referee isn't causing the Netherlands to lose. The Russians are.

I'm very surprised that Robben didn't come in for Holland. Some dissension in the camp, perhaps?

But that doesn't take away what Russia has been able to do to Holland up to now.

The Russian walked against his arm from the behind, nothing Van Persie can do about that.

Me neither - a player of his caliber and creativity should not be on the bench when the team is down 1-0. What happened with Boulahrouz, why was he substituted?

I'm not saying that, but it's typical that in 2004 and 2006 in the games that Holland was eliminated we had a crappy referee on the field too.

Vap Persie threw his elbow out when the Russian was behind him. The caution was completely justified. Regardless, how does that yellow card equate to the referee causing the Dutch to be losing right now.
The Russians are outplaying them. The ref hasn't got anything to do with that.

BBC were reporting that Robben has a groin injury and was unlikely to feature.

This referee is not crappy. He's calling the game quite well.

Russia. Wow. What has Hiddink given them? Must be one heck of a motivational speech!
