Before the match I wanted Spain to win, and I don't really like Italy at all as a nation, but with the Spanish diving all match, I want the Italians to win.
Okay, but the Italians are the kings of diving. And, in the first half many of those weren't dives by the Spanish.

Like it or not, diving has become an important part of the sport. Everybody does it, even the Germans, now. A convincing technique in diving is what often separates the tournament winners from the wannabes.
So far, only the Russians are (almost) clean of that fault, but I bet they'll learn soon enough.

You're wrong, and lazy for assuming if a player ends up on the ground its a dive.
As I posted elsewhere, he didn't grab his leg, and he didn't make a penalty shout.
Not that it matters, the ref passed up a perfectly legitimate shout from him in the first half when Aquillani hacked him down in the box.
Sure as hell looked like a dive to me. And if you read back into this thread I said that ref screwed up at least twice by not giving Spain PKs.

If Villa was Italian instead of Spanish, the people who are saying he allegedly "slipped" would be crying that hes a "cheat" and should be sent off. :rolleyes:
