WOW! So far the center ref has got his Azzurri glasses on big time. Spain will have to really earn a goal here. Italy will definitely grab the shirt, arm tug and shoulder pull at every sign of danger if it is allowed.

As an Italian, I have to say that it's shocking some of the Italian fouls in the box haven't been called yet.
I can't argue with that. Spain should have had at least two PKs by now.

Cassano plays for Sampadoria now. Spent last season in Italy.
For some reason I thought he was still in Spain.

Well I'm not so sure. I can give you that everyone has a bad game. However this guy is not only missing a lot of calls. When a ref is demonstrative and screaming at a player on a call he obviously didn't have a good look at(there wasn't even contact); It is very bad character/personality trait for a ref imo.

Yes and he's reffed some Champions League games. He's not bad usually but he's having a shocker today.
