Holy crap, Turkey's "backup" keeper is the only reason they're still in this game.
Fantastic stuff.

So there is a "mini-game?"
I thought I heard Tommy Smyth say something about going straight to PKs, which surprised me, which is why I asked.
Another nice save from Rushtu.
That was only if Turkey/Czechs tied on the final group stage match.

What a boring game... I hope there will be PK's.
Boring? :confused:

Ah, that's what confused me. Smyth made me think that UEFA had done away with the "mini game" altogether.

Grande Rustu. Only reason this is going to extra, although Turkey tried to attack near the end.

Knockout stage matches always play 30 minutes of extra time at the end of 90 minutes (two 15 min halves). The Czech Rep - Turkey game was an exception because it was the group stages and both teams had identical records.

So ET means what??????
Sudden death, play out only 15 minutes (even if somebody scores), or play out the full 30 minutes (even if somebody scores)?????

Correct. 30 minutes will be played no matter what. If its still tied after that, then penalties.
ET = Extra time.

ET means just play another 30 minutes. If they're tied after this 30 mins it goes to pk

"Golden Goal" and "Silver Goal" have gone the way of the dodo. And that's a good thing.

Funny to hear a French supporter and a German supporter slamming the idea of the "Golden Goal" :p
