Did anyone else think that should have been a foul and a penalty on Simunic??
It clearly was IMO. The defender just forgot about the ball and managed to stop Simunic.

No, I think the ref got it right.
The officiating is actually good. Not many cards, and he's allowing play.

I think the ref got the simunic foul spot on, decent match so far, it would be better if Turkey came out more, only Nihat tends to be upfront for them, while when Croatia attack they get more men forward.

That was one of the weakest yellows I've seen in a while. That and I thought yellows reset after the group stage but it seems I was wrong on both accounts... Good game so far, my heart nearly stopped when Croatia hit the bar.
O also with out Servet back there we look a little lack luster in the Defense category... only time will tell though.

It looks like the battle of two heavy weights...Turkey is in more control of the game although the biggest danger came from the Croatians. The side with better conditioning will put their signature on the game from 60th minute on.
