Henryk Kasperczak is apparently calling a press conference Monday to discuss....?
Looks like he's front runner for the Nigeria job - great opportunity for him, bad for Polish football. However, if the Polish national team doesn't get the desired result in Latvia tomorrow, Janas will resign as nat'l team manager.
What do you think Kasperczak will say Monday?

If we don't qualify, I think Edward Klejndinst should be named the national coach. He is doing a terrific job with the u-23s (they are first in their qualification group), and he could continue that with the senior team (basing it around the youngsters to develop them for the future).

From pilkanozna
"Także Henryk Kasperczak postanowił przedłużyć swój kontrakt z klubem. Według nowej umowy szkoleniowiec będzie pracował w Wiśle do 2008 roku. Tym samym zostały ucięte podejrzenia, jakoby trener ten miał przejąc reprezentację Nigerii."

Umm....
When will people learn? Engel played different players (older mostly) and different style, Boniek played younger players with his own system. And Janas is playing his system with a mix from both of those coaches. WE NEED TO PLAY SAME STYLE. No more coaching changes. If we dont quilify, keep Janas. If we change coaches, we will lose in WC quilifiers also, and people will want Klejndinst fired then too.
Janas created most of todays best for Poland who are young (Lewandowski, Kosowski, Glowacki, Smolarek, Kuzba and others in U21 who are just making the switch) when he coached the U21. He also led Legia on a solid CL run.
Trust me, Janas is the right man. He wasn't even the coach since day 1 of Euro quilifiers and people want him gone? I take it many of you havn't seen Poland play on your eyes in a looooooong time.

Some of the moves that Janas made were downright boneheaded. How many players will he put into positions that they never played in? I think Szymkowiak played at Right-D, Right Mid, and Defensive Mid before finally ending up as the playmaker. How many different right midfielders is he going to try out? What about the 3-0 in Stockholm? Does Janas shoulder none of that blame?
It is an unfortunate occurence that we had to switch coaches in the middle of the Euro campaign. But we should not stick to one coach's style, IF THAT STYLE DOES NOT WORK.
Having said that, I do hope that I am completely wrong about Janas and that we'll get the result against Sweden, qualify for the EC, and actually do well in it.

yeah, and throwing Kosowski on the right is getting a bit tedious as well. It's not working at all.
