As a new member of BS, I'm so glad I found this thread. It's been a dream of mine for a few years to watch the mighty Arsenal live. I'm planning on making it out this season so I'll be watching this thread. Big thanks to everyone involved in maybe making this happen.

Hi Rick!
Anyway, what Rick said is basically what I meant. We'll still have a single point of contact for those tickets (Meredith and Simon) as we don't want 100s of phone calls going back and forth to this and that, but we might not necessarily have to do it via paypal as (I still assume) some of those folks want cash on delivery and don't want to wait around for us to cash out the paypal.
We're moving toward a UK banking solution (fingers crossed) so getting cash out in London may become much easier shortly. Right now we pay ridiculous fees on nearly everything we do (ATMs, currency exchanges) so I'm hoping (come on Citibank) that something will be working shortly.
Hope all is going well down there.
Looks like things are going well now and people are starting to understand the process. i am in full support of deposits or pre pay in full, or anything else that would make it easier to get the tickets for us. when you guys decided exactly what would make it safe and easy for you guys, drop the hammer and fill us in.

Season ticket holders are wealthy. I'm not wealthy.

Make sure to sit in the wooden stand at Brisbane Road. That way you feel a sense of adventure while watching Orient--the place could go up in flames any second! ;)
Not on the day we went:D:D

Got him.
It was well deserved of course. I especially was impressed by the insight of "HA, HA, HA, HA, HA." Never thought about it that way. That, my friends, is knowledge.

Hello to all, so are we good to go on ticket requests on THIS thread, or is there a possible new thread coming in for ticket requests. From what ive read, possibly a new thread coming in soon. Just want to do things right, feel free to yell at me as Rick has done over the years if i missed something that could have answered my own question.
P.S. Rick, thanks for all your help over the years on here, best of luck to you in Zimbabwe and best of luck to Simon and Meredith in their future endeavours with all the idiots you will deal with as you move forward with Arsenal America!!!

PMs and Ticket Request threads are going to be a thing of the past. Will all be done on the ArseAm website, ticketmaster style. If I understand correctly.

Cool, thanks for the response and ill check out the ArsAm site and learn up on how i need to do things. I think they changed every year slightly, but i just want to make sure things go smoothly Simon and Meredith. If anyone else has the definate information on exactly how to do this please let me know.

We're still sorting things out but ticket requests are definitely NOT being done on this thread. We will post a new thread as soon as possible which will lay out the process for the season (and it will have a subject line that will clearly indicate that it's THE thread to read for ticket requests). Andrew and some other folks in the States are working hard to get everything set up but it's a slow process - especially with families and full time jobs on top - so we may need to start the season with a different process than what we intend to get to, just so we can get tickets handed out for August/September.
But again, we'll post a new thread as soon as there is any news on ticketing so that everyone will be notified at the same time and won't have to scroll through pages of threads to make sure they're not missing the magic post that kicks it all off.

I'm looking forward to joining everyone for the Hull City match in late Sept. I'll be flying all the way from WV in the USA to see the Gunners!
Quick question: I will be staying with my friend that lives in London. What is the best way to go about getting a ticket for him plus one each for myself and my wife? Should I go through aa tickets or have him get them? Thanks,
~~Quentin

Tickets through AA are SOLELY for Americans coming over for the games or those staying in the UK on student/work things etc. They are NOT for UK residents. Those in UK have plenty of ways to get their own.

I would post something similarly sarcastic, but I actually WILL be in London soon, so I'd look a pillock if I were to be smarmy about this whole process just yet. :o
I'll resume waiting patiently for ticketing updates now.
