Shit experience last night. This isn't the place to go into it in detail so I won't.

- Somebody (either us or the LA fans) was not in the right place before and after the match.
- They have a shit FO and they still have buses set up for all their fans. Maybe they did it themselves, but come on FO or club quake or somebody. Where was that for our match down there?
- The security at those games is pathetic. Almost everybody seems to have a complaint about them. Those guys are not police officers so I'm afraid that if they screw up again as badly as they did yesterday, one of them might get hurt. (I know that sounds like a threat :eek:, but it's actually a general concern for their safety. One A's security guy was close to being socked by somebody who wasn't even w/ the 1906 Ultras. Not even in our section. That's how bad it is.

The Earthquakes Front Office Needs To Step Up And Do Something About The Security And Ushers At The Coliseum. I'm A Member Of The Casbah And They Were Harassing Me About What I Was Saying About Lazyboy Beckham. I Saw The Treatment That The Ultras Got And It Was Wrong. The Casbah And The Ultras Need To Have A Meeting With Lew Wolf To Express Our Concerns Of The Treatment We Receive From His Employees.

I have to agree with Mike. We tried talking to the FO, to the security, set up policies etc. Nothing worked, so we have to go to the man who pays those idiots, and happens to own our team, as well. Our FO people, Anthony and Ramon did everything they could, and even more than they were supposed to do to to help us. They ran up and down every five minutes to stop the security's constant harrassment. They are not the problem. It's somwhere higher.
Security are tough with little fans trying to join in the Ultras or the Casbah sections, but they are scared to get involed when a full scale riot is about to break out in the parking lot. Twice. When two or three of our guys get in their faces, they chicken out and call the cops to arrest them. It's not normal when the ticket rep guy is the only person to get between two supporter groups that hate each other. I am sure he is not getting paid for that.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with these security guys at the Oakland Coliseum. Are they mad (or too afraid) that they can't do anything about Raiders fans in the black hole during Raider games?

Piss poor performance by Oakland Coliseum security last Saturday. Period. They were just sitting there waiting for a reason to come bust us up. Plain and simple. They didn't understand what we were doing and since it was new and foreign to them they wanted to put a stop to it. Ridiculous. It was like they thought we were there to tear the stadium down at the drop of a dime or something.

Can't wait to go back HOME to Buckshaw.

That was A's security not Raiders. Believe me I know if that had been the Raider security people would have been flying out in handcuffs. I have said this in other threads but I don't think I am going to the game in August, don't need the BS. I go to these games to have fun and yesterday was not fun. I have seen Becksy twice maybe thats enough.

Exactely my thoughts. A group of about 70 supporters are about to brawl and the only guys seperating them are Anthony Perry (Quakes ticket rep) and Anthony and Ramon in thier suits. Pathetic man. Just a minor league operation all around.

Well, sorta. LARS did all the work by planning everything to the last detail, then presented it to the Galaxy FO so it could be opened to the other supporter groups and the general population. We actually pushed for nearly a thousand spots and got shot down. I think all people in this league realize that FO's are generally lazy and pretty much do not to squat... from NY, to DC, to LA, to SJ.

Sorry, but I don't think you can argue the "lazy factor" of FO's. That's why I'm in so much awe of TFC supporters.

That's funny, as long as I've been around football I've always understood that Ultras, Barras and other "supporter groups" worldwide not only suck on FO tit, but they DEMAND FO tit and they extort the FOs into giving them tit to suck on.

Yep - in Argentina, for example, the Barras of every major club except Racing (since their bankruptcy in 2001) have a very real say in the governance of the club (http://pitchinvasion.net/blog/2007/06/27/two-deaths-too-many-in-argentina/).
