I'm just being consistent. ;)
But yes, I believe any suspensions incurred/acquired for players whose teams will no longer be involved in this tournament will carry over into World Cup qualifying matches.
For players who end the tournament on only one booking, the slate is wiped clean for World Cup qualifying.
I think. :D
