Garbage...I don't understand why the red card was used there...
ahhhh,.. let us see
last defender + committed a foul = red card
For those of you who know the rules,... simply being the "last defender" doesn't necessarily mean a red card. But in this case, the attacker was moving towards the goal and had an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

We even learned the proper acronym tonight too.
Will there be a quiz following the match??

Weirdly enough I don't choose the team. I still believe Andy Johnson would have scored though.

It's not all that obvious it was a goal scoring oppo though, he was more of a danger to the cameramen.

France are so pathetic, any chance of putting on an attacking player and going for it?
Come on, they're 10 on the pitch, vs 12 (eleven + the referee).
I don't see where there was a red card for Abidal but whatever... Zizou is missing. Now Ribery is missing 'cause they broke his leg.
Congrats to the Comedia Del Arte.

one of fifa's poorest rules has ended this game as a contest:(
I think it is FIFA's best rules,... it is design to prevent players from doing what Abidal did. If you want to point a finger point it right at the idiot Abidal.
France needs smarter play,.. Abidal & Makelele just not doing it (at least for me).
This French team reminds me of the French squad in Euro 96. They no longer had the likes of Cantona & Ginola.... they needed a new identity and there was a lot that needed to be settled in 96.

Congrats to the Comedia Del Arte.
With ridiculous whining like that, it's hard to sympathize with France.

Hopefully this costs Raymond his job. Im no France fan, but its shocking to play as blandly and as boring as they did with the amount of world class players he has at his disposal. Awful tournament, hopefully the French FA does us all a favor.
