Got me wondering, too. Checked the US Soccer website and it said "All 21 players on the U.S. roster are available for selection. The roster will be trimmed to 18 players on match day." So, sounds like may not know until tomorrow.

What are the odds Freddie doesn't make the 18?
I think it's 50/50.

Cervi won't be on it. A midfielder and a defender most likely.

here's the original 21.
U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION*
GOALKEEPERS (3): Dominic Cervi (out of contract: 0/0), Brad Guzan (Chivas USA: 0/0), Tim Howard (Everton FC: 3/2 SO)
DEFENDERS (7): Carlos Bocanegra (out of contract: 11/1), Dan Califf (FC Midtjylland: 1/0), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96: 14:0), Jay DeMerit (Watford FC: 0/0), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew: 11/1), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege: 7/0), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock: 0/0)
MIDFIELDERS (7): Freddy Adu (SL Benfica: 0/0), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers: 14/4), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen: 0/0), Maurice Edu (Toronto FC: 0/0), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA: 0/0), Eddie Lewis (Derby County: 17/2), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids: 9/0)
FORWARDS (4): Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo: 6/2), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy: 20/7), Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC: 7/0), Eddie Johnson (Fulham FC: 7/7)
i agree that cervi won't make the gameday 18 unless one of the top two gks get injured.
in defense, (again, unless one of the others is injured) either califf or demerit get cut. based on argentina, i'd say demerit.
in midfield (unless one of the others is injured) kjlestan is the odd man out.
so imo, the three who won't make the gameday roster are: cervi, demerit, and kjlestan.

I think you're probably right. (I'd be more inclined to keep Demerit, but if I had to lay my money down on who'll stay and who'll go, that's what I'd lay my money down on.)

Two posts above nailed what I think, altough I'd still like to see Jay get more chances, WCQ's are not the place to screw around with that.

My guess
Dominic Cervi
Dan Califf/Jay DeMerit
Sacha Kljestan

Agree on Cervi and Demerit.
I actually think the midfield cut depends on Bradley's plan for the formation. If Bradley intends to start Adu in the midfield, then 3 dmids is too many and you should probably cut 1 of the 3 dmids and keep Sasha around for extra offense late.

Kljestan is playing right now for Chivas USA, so I don't think he'll be in the US 18 on 6/15.

We'll need that 3rd DM to sub in just in case we fall a goal behind with 10 minutes to play.

sure, but expect this game to end with all three on the pitch.

why Bradley should be pushing the whole game no matter the score since we are at home in a 2 legged series.

Do you have his phone number? You could try telling him, but he's not likely to listen.

Sure Bob will plays tired Dempsey rather than Klejstan. Then when Klejstan is out of form and Dempsey is in form, Bob makes a switch.

2 legged, TOTAL GOALS series. With the home leg first,he obligated to pour it on as much as possible. Wait a minute ... are we sure BB understands the concept of total goals? Maybe not ... it is an attacking thing :D
since Kjlestan outplayed Dempsey, he must be cut. Edu and Pablo outplayed Mikey so they must go to the bench.
In this game, it will be hard (not impossible) for BB to screw it up. ANY 11 should be able to win big. In fact, anythin but a big win should be viewed as a poor result
