Im new to the wonderful world of soccer. Im looking for a team to support, but for some reason, the local MLS team in my town, just doesnt do it for me. Could yall point me to who I should support? I want a team with good chemistry and not a lot of Im the only player on the team that counts type of team. I would to try and support one from either Ireland, Scottland, or ENgland. So point away and give a good valid argument please.....

They survive in the Los Angeles underground. They are still wanted by the government, but if you have a problem, if nobody else can help, and if you can find them, you might be able to hire them.

Soccer is a game best viewed in person, rather than on TV. In person, in the actual stadium where the game is being played, not only can you see the entire game unfold before you in ways that televised games can't deliver, but you also get to feel the energy from the other supporters, and that can't be duplicated elsewhere.

If the team in your hometown "doesn't do it for you," don't look to Ireland, England or Scotland, since you would most likely not be able see the games they play (unless you have vast amounts of spare time and disposeable income). Look instead to what you're looking to get out of the game, as well as what you're putting into it.

If that "doesn't do it for you," do what every other plastic does, and buy a ManU shirt.

Stick with your home town team the Dynamo. They may not be doing it for you now but as with most other sports, coaching and tactics always change. Have a voice show some passion and attend the matches. That's where the fun is and from there a sort of identity.

Nice job being a prick.

I don't know if you knew this, but MLS's level of play as well as atmosphere will never be comparable to those of the Prem/Serie A, and La Liga.

Nice attempt at a personal attack, sport.

Of course the level of play in the Premiership is different than MLS, as well as the atmosphere. I would argue that that difference gets considerably watered down by watching it on television, as opposed to being in the stadium. Particularly in the Premiership, which relies so much on speed and power to achieve its level of play, not even widescreen HD really gives you the same picture as being there... even being at an MLS match.

Atmosphere isn't much good when you're on the other side of the world. And for a lot of fans, 'level of play' is a fair way down the list of reasons why they love their club.

Obviously. Watching games on TV will never compare to being there, no one can argue that point.

But calling someone plastic and to go and buy a ManU shirt just because they'd like to watch another team on television is a "nice attempt at a personal attack"........"sport".

yes. well done. a single Celtic fan on the second video. one fan!! one moronic idiot. i'm sure you would agree that each club has one...

instead of discussing the team i support why not discuss your own team...?

let me help with a couple of examples and then i'm done on this thread. feel free to carry it on in PM rather than ruining this thread.

earlier this season, the behaviour of Rangers fans appalled the people of Barcelona to such an extent that the British Consul declared himself embarrassed. terrified that their own fans cannot travel outside Scotland where racism and bigotry targeted at the Irish and Catholics is apparently an acceptable part of cultural life, Rangers have, for the second time been forced to buy up their entire away allocation for the forthcoming UEFA Cup match with Fiorentina.

thousands of Rangers fans could be heard indulging in racist taunts against the Irish, singing “the famine’s over, why don’t you go home”. this incidentally was on the same evening that Rangers fans had booed a rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone, dedicated to the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.

i won't even start on about Manchester...

We boo'd "You'll never walk alone" because it is sung by Celtic supporters.
Nothing at all to do with the hillsborough disaster.

Its very clear it was more than one person interupting the 9/11 silence you can hear clearly more than 1 singing IRA songs. There are two seperate videos of Celtic fans mocking the victims of 9/11.

Lets not get into this arguement or i will have to explain about how Celtic football club for years molested their Boys club in which the manager knew about it and told no one. Im sure you will agree that is up there with one of the most discusting things not only done by a football club but done by anyone.

For every IRA story a Rangers fan tells, there's a UVF/UDA/whatever story that a Celtic fan can come back with. That's why this argument is so pointless and divisive, and goes on and on. Both clubs have plenty of muck to be raked.

So take that shit elsewhere. You're trolling - nobody was talking about it til you showed up.
